The role aims to safeguard the well-being of employees, contractors, and visitors by promoting a safe work environment, conducting risk assessments, and implementing preventive measures to minimize workplace hazards.Job Description

  • Communicate HSE-related matters with customers, suppliers, insurers, legal representatives, and authorities.
  • Review contractors’ method statements prior to authorizing work.
  • Authorize permit-to-work (PTW) for customers and contractors.
  • Assist departments in identifying HSE requirements based on contract scope and health & safety obligations.
  • Support departments during external audits conducted by clients.
  • Visit customer facilities managed by Aramex to conduct HSE toolbox meetings and workplace inspections.
  • Deliver safety inductions for customers and contractors.
  • Conduct daily and weekly facility walkthroughs to monitor safety compliance.
  • Verify third-party certifications for all contractor equipment.
  • Check validity of documents such as RTA licenses, crane certifications, and rigging equipment certifications.
  • Perform physical inspections of work sites and equipment prior to work commencement and PTW approval.
  • Review method statements before initiating any non-routine work.
  • Conduct on-job trainings & weekly toolbox talks for the operational workforce.
  • Investigating all accidents, incidents, and near misses; update the CA system, assign cases to responsible departments, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessment for all work equipment, work processes & Operations.
  • Monitor and supervise mechanical lifting operations, including cranes and forklifts.
  • Promote Incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors, also Keeping track of HSE statistics.
  • Assist the department on external audits related to health and safety conducted by Clients.

Job Requirements – Experience and Education

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree of Engineering, Science, or any relevant field.
  • Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is a must.
  • Master or Diploma in the field of occupational health and safety (NEBOSH is preferred).
