– They will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Managers, Product Owners, and BI Developers to design and execute comprehensive data testing strategies across the end-to-end data pipeline.
– Define automated and regresion testing approach for the delivery of data productsQualificationsMust have skillsSQL testing, BigQuery validation, dbt tests, data reconciliation, data quality checks, Python automation, pipeline testing, regression testing, test case designGood to have skillsAirflow validation, Great Expectations or similar tools, Grafana/Splunk monitoring, financial data reconciliation, CI/CD testingCore Technical RequirementsData Testing
– Strong SQL expertise, especially in analytical SQL within cloud data warehouses (preferably Google BigQuery).
– Hands-on experience with dbt & BigQuery
– Experience with automated data testing frameworks such as dbt testsReport Testing
– Experience testing Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and DAX measures.DevOps, CI/CD & IaC:
– Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and DevOps principles for data workflows.Security, Data Governance & Operational Resilience:
– Solid grounding in cloud security best practices and least-privilege IAM.Delivery Approach & Ways of Working- Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks.
– Use of JIRA and Confluence for delivery management and documentation.
– Proven track record collaborating effectively in multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, product and analytics.Specialisations – Proven experience of working as A Data tester in Financial Services domain
– Advanced skills in SQL based Data Testing and scripting skills in Python
– Experience with Dev Ops and CI/CD
– Experience working with Data warehouse and Report testingExperience & Other – 5 or more years experience in data testing and data validation
– Strong problem-solving capability, comfortable troubleshooting defects
– Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
