• We are seeking a Senior Mainframe IMS & Db2 Database Administrator to lead the engineering, maintenance, and optimization of our core banking/insurance systems.
• You will be responsible for managing high-volume Db2 for z/OS and IMS DB/DC environments while leading modernization initiatives..

Essential Job Functions:Db2 for z/OS Administration

• Perform subsystem tuning, buffer pool optimization, and ZPARM management for Db2 13/14.
• Analyze complex SQL using Client Data Studio or Query Tuner and implement advanced indexing, MQTs, and partitioning.
• Execute and automate utilities (LOAD, REORG, RUNSTATS, UNLOAD) using Client or BMC toolsets.
• Implement Db2 AI for z/OS (Db2ZAI) and leverage Restful APIs for Db2 data access.

IMS DB/DC Administration

• Manage IMS Full Function and Fast Path (DEDB) databases.
• Monitor and tune IMS DC regions, message queues, and transactions.
• Design and maintain HALDB environments including partition management.
• Configure and troubleshoot Sysplex Data Sharing environments.

Operations & Security

• Lead Backup & Recovery strategies using GDPS and FlashCopy.
• Enforce RACF/ACF2 security protocols and implement encryption standards.
• Develop automation scripts using JCL, REXX, and Python.

Qualifications:Required Qualifications

• 10+ years as Mainframe DBA with 5+ years in dual IMS & Db2 environments.
• Strong expertise in z/OS, TSO/ISPF, JCL, SMP/E.
• Understanding of Coupling Facility & Parallel Sysplex architecture.
• Experience with CA/Broadcom, BMC, or Client Db2 tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Zowe, Ansible for Client Z.
• Hybrid cloud exposure (Client Cloud Pak / AWS / Azure replication).
• Knowledge of COBOL, PL/I, or Java on z/OS.
• Strong incident leadership capability

Work Timing:

• Rotational Shift – Weekly/Biweekly (11 PM – 7 AM, 7 AM – 2 PM, 2 PM – 11 PM)
