Main Purpose of the JobThe Head of IT / IT Manager – India is responsible for managing the IT team across Currie & Brown’s India operations. This role will ensure that all IT systems, infrastructure, and end-user environments are maintained, secure, and aligned with organizational goals. The individual will coordinate with the Group IT team (UK) and regional stakeholders to ensure robust IT governance, compliance, and support across all Indian offices and project sites.2. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & OperationsLead and manage the Indian IT department to deliver timely and efficient support across multiple office locations and project sites.Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for IT operations in a hybrid environment.IT Infrastructure & Systems ManagementManage hybrid identity infrastructure: Microsoft Entra ID, on-premises Active Directory, and Intune.Administer and maintain Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and related collaboration tools.Oversee Windows Server (2019/2022/2025), VMware ESXi infrastructure, network systems, and firewalls.Security & ComplianceEnsure compliance with ISO 27001 and manage annual audits and documentation.Enforce IT security policies, backup processes, and disaster recovery/business continuity plans.Project & Budget ManagementPlan and execute IT projects, system upgrades, and cloud/on-prem transitions.Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and the regional IT budget.Maintain IT asset inventories and comprehensive system documentation.Training & SupportGuide, train, and support IT staff and end-users to improve IT literacy and operational efficiency.Travel to various regional offices/sites as needed.3. Authority & Decision-MakingThe IT Manager operates within defined guidelines issued by the Finance Director (India) and Group IT Director (UK), with the authority to lead all local IT functions and manage the regional IT budget.4. Required ExperienceEssential:10+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.Proven team management and stakeholder coordination skills.Strong expertise in Microsoft environments:Microsoft Server 2019/2022/2025Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid Active DirectoryMicrosoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)Microsoft Intune & Endpoint ManagementIn-depth knowledge of VMware ESXi, networking, and firewall administration.Experience working across distributed, multi-site teams.Hands-on experience with ISO 27001 audits, controls, and documentation.Fluent in English with strong problem-solving and communication abilities.Desirable:Familiarity with tools such as:CoreView, Mimecast, NinjaOne, SonicWall, Meraki access pointsExperience working in a multi-national company environment.Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Microsoft Entra/Intune, CompTIA A+/Network+, Cisco).Exposure to industry-specific software: Causeway, CostX, AutoCAD, ZWCAD.5.
