About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our SAP technical team. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in ABAP programming and have working knowledge of SAP Cloud Integration (CI) and Data Services (DS). This role will focus on designing and implementing custom solutions, enhancing standard SAP functionalities, and supporting integration workflows between SAP and external systems.What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain custom objects using ABAP, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF).
- Work with OO ABAP, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and the Enhancement Framework to meet business requirements.
- Develop and support IDocs, RFCs, and Web Services for system integration.
- Collaborate with SAP CI/DS teams to support data integration and transformation between SAP and external systems.
- Assist in building and consuming OData services for Fiori/UI5 applications and external integrations.
- Participate in performance tuning, code reviews, and the creation of technical documentation.
- Support data migration activities using SAP DS, ensuring seamless data flow through SAP CI.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with functional and integration teams.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in ABAP development, including Forms, Interfaces, Conversions, Reports, Enhancements, Workflows, and Extractors.
- Proven ability to translate functional specifications into technical designs, followed by coding, unit testing, and documentation of custom developments.
- hands-on experience in SAP ABAP Reporting, Dialog Programming, LSMW, BDC, BAPI, Data Dictionary, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, RFCs, Object-Oriented ABAP, Workflow, ALE/IDoc, EDI, OData, ABAP Proxy, XML-based integrations, and performance optimization of existing code.
- Strong understanding of middleware technologies such as CPI, SDI, PI/PO, SOAP, and file-based transfers.
- Familiarity with the SAP IBP module and experience with CPI concepts is a plus.
- Experience in developing ABAP objects specifically for SAP IBP is required.
- Hands-on experience with SAP CPI DS, including managing tasks and process chains.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to adapt to dynamic project environments and manage multiple assignments.
- Functional knowledge of SAP ECC modules such as IBP and Ariba is a plus.
- Exposure to BI and Analytics tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with collaboration and project tracking tools like Confluence and Jira.
- Formal training, certifications, or practical experience in structured problem-solving approaches.
