On behalf of our client, an exciting medical devices company, we are currently recruiting for a Urology/Gynaecology Product Specialist for the Dublin/Leinster territory (Occasional travel outside of this territory may be required for case cover)Overview: The product specialist will achieve sales and market share objectives by promoting a range of Surgical Devices to Key Opinion Leaders and Large Hospital Groups across the Dublin/Leinster Territory. There will be 12 weeks in-hospital observational training as part of onboarding, where you will be shadowing another experienced Territory Manager who will be clinically supporting cases.Customers: Gynaecologists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Theatre Staff and Procurement across the Territory (Private & HSE)RequirementsSeeking candidates coming from either of the following backgrounds seeking a new challenge:(a) Healthcare Professional Background○ Midwifery○ Theatre Scrub Nurse○ Staff Nurse○ Physicians Associate○ Physiotherapy / Sports Science○ Physiology○ Radiography(b) Commercial / Sales Background○ Can demonstrate proven ability to achieve commercial targets in a complex B2B industry○ Has been successful in their current sales role working with technical products○ Is coming from a healthcare / medical / surgical sales background (this is preferred, but not mandatory)○ Is qualified in a business related degree (minimum: NFQ Level 8, Honors Bachelor Degree)○ Is seeking to build a long term career in the medical devices industry● All candidates must hold a third level qualification (minimum: NFQ Level 8, Honours Bachelor Degree).● Demonstrates an ability to articulate highly technical information to a diverse audience of medical professionals (especially at consultant level).● Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; displaying initiative, dependability and a high level of motivation.● Candidate needs to be highly credible with strong influencing skills and the ability to build effective, collaborative relationships.● Must display excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task under time constraints.● Can effectively present information in an accessible way.● Must have skills that enable collaboration and communication, including excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel).● Previous sales experience is preferential for this role, but not critical.● The prospective candidate must hold a full driving license.For a full Job Spec and to apply for this role please call Linda on 01 2784703 or e-mailThornshaw Scientific Recruitment is a leading Irish provider of specialist Scientific Recruitment.
