Job Description:Job Description – Manual Test Engineer (AWS)We are looking for an experienced Manual Test Engineer with strong AWS experience and sound SQL skills to join our SIT/Scrum team. The role involves testing complex applications and ensuring high-quality software delivery across multiple IT systems.Role OverviewYou will be responsible for end-to-end functional testing, working closely with project stakeholders, development teams, and business users. The role requires independence, strong analytical skills, and adherence to Agile testing standards and best practices.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Understand business and technical requirements and create test deliverables including test strategies, test plans, test scripts, scenarios, and test data
• Participate in requirements review and grooming sessions, providing timely feedback
• Perform test estimation, scheduling, requirements traceability, execution, and result reporting to relevant stakeholders
• Define regression testing scope and coverage, identify defects, and manage them through resolution
• Execute functional testing and ensure issues are clearly logged and communicated through appropriate channels
• Adhere to Agile methodology, testing standards, and best practices
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and business users
• Work independently and take ownership of all assigned testing activities

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Graduate degree or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of formal testing experience in a structured environment
• Strong experience testing web-based applications, web services, and APIs
• Hands-on AWS testing experience, including services such as:

• S3
• CloudWatch
• DynamoDB
• EC2
• Minimum 1 year of experience testing in an AWS environment
• Strong SQL skills to interrogate relational databases (DB2, MSSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB)
• Experience working in a formal Agile setup (user stories, Scrum, releases)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A strong team player who can collaborate effectively across functions

Certifications (Preferred)

• ISEB / ISTQB (Foundation level or above)
• AWS Cloud Practitioner
• Agile Certification

Domain Experience (Preferred)

• Experience working in the Healthcare sector

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, BDD)
• Ability to maintain and manage Selenium/Cucumber (Java-based) automation scripts for UI and API testing
