We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and help develop and maintain the Adabas database. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in C
programming, though experience with C++ or Java is also welcome, along with expertise in backend systems.Essential Functions:
- Collaborate closely with teams in Germany and the USA.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain product features using C/C++, Java, and scripting.
- Contribute to feature, design, and architecture discussions.
- Conduct code reviews, test reviews, and documentation reviews.
- Perform testing and test automation.
- Manage build, installation, and promotion processes.
- Provide product support to internal teams, including Sales, Global Consulting Services, and Global Support.
- Assist Global Support with customer defect resolutions and escalations.
- Develop and deliver training materials as needed.
- Maintain documentation according to project requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+yrs of proficiency in C/C++ and Java, along with scripting knowledge
- Experience in full-cycle software development (design, coding, testing, and maintenance).
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
- Experience with testing, test automation, and debugging.
- Familiarity with build management and deployment processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
