Paywise is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our growing technology team in Perth, WA.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software solutions that support our business operations and customer outcomes. You will work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver high-quality, reliable and scalable applications using modern development practices.
Key Responsibilities
– Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into technical solutions
– Design, develop and maintain software applications across the full software development lifecycle
– Write clean, efficient and well-documented code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks
– Conduct testing, debugging and performance optimization of software systems
– Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve functionality, security and performance
– Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams and end users to ensure solutions meet requirements
– Participate in system integration, deployments and ongoing production support
– Prepare and maintain technical documentation and specifications
– Follow software development best practices, coding standards and version control processes
Required Skills & Experience
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
– Minimum 2–3 years’ experience working as a Software Engineer or in a similar role
– Strong programming skills in one or more mainstream languages (e.g. Java, C#, Python, JavaScript)
– Experience in software design, development, testing and maintenance
– Familiarity with modern development frameworks, tools and version control systems
– Ability to analyze requirements and deliver practical technical solutions
– Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
