KnowMe focuses on how ASB understands and supports its customers, owning the core customer profile experience across the bank. This includes personal details, preferences, permissions, and identity-related information that underpins many of ASB’s products and services.The squad builds and improves capabilities that keep customer information accurate, trusted, and easy to manage through digital channels. This includes strengthening data quality and verification, enabling self-service experiences, and ensuring customer profile information flows reliably to downstream systems. The work is meaningful and highly visible, with a strong focus on privacy, security, and regulatory expectations.You’ll work in a cross-functional, agile team alongside engineers, product leaders, data specialists, and business partners, contributing to outcomes that directly improve customer experiences.Mō te Tūranga | About the roleAs a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the quality and reliability of Salesforce and nCino solutions that support the early stages of ASB’s lending journey. Your work will enable lenders to create and manage lending opportunities with confidence in the data, integrations, and outcomes across the platform.You’ll be part of a small, highly collaborative squad operating at enterprise scale. This role combines hands-on testing with strong technical input, as the squad continues its transition from predominantly manual testing into increased automation. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how quality is built into solutions, contribute to technical decisions, and work closely with developers, BAs, and product leaders in an environment where your voice is heard.Key responsibilities

  • Own and deliver testing across Salesforce and nCino solutions, including functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for web and API testing
  • Perform manual testing where required, particularly as part of the squad’s automation uplift
  • Execute performance testing for Salesforce applications and integrations
  • Validate complex data flows and system integrations across upstream and downstream platforms
  • Create, manage, and maintain test data, including bulk testing scenarios
  • Contribute to test artefacts, test strategies, and quality practices within the squad
  • Partner closely with developers, BAs, and the CXO to embed quality throughout delivery

Ō pūkenga | About youYou are a senior-level test engineer who takes ownership of quality and is comfortable working across both manual and automated testing. You enjoy solving complex problems, understand how enterprise platforms fit together, and are confident navigating Salesforce and nCino environments. You bring a practical mindset, balancing rigour with pragmatism, and you care about building solutions that work for real users.You’re also comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams and contributing beyond your immediate testing tasks. Whether you’re improving test practices, supporting automation uplift, or helping the squad make better technical decisions, you lead from where you are and value collaboration.Key skills and experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in software test engineering
  • Proven experience testing Salesforce applications or platforms
  • Experience testing nCino or other lending platforms is highly desirable
  • Strong capability across manual and automated testing
  • Experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks for web and APIs
  • Automation experience using Selenium or similar tools
  • API testing experience using tools such as Postman
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience across functional, system, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Comfortable working in agile delivery environments

Nice to have

  • Experience with AccelQ for automation or performance testing
  • Performance testing experience
  • Experience working with complex enterprise systems
  • Exposure to financial services, lending, or insurance domains
  • Salesforce certifications or ISTQB certification
