In this role, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of our cloud-based security products used by customers around the world.Working in a collaborative, cross-functional squad, you’ll help deliver high-quality software solutions across both front-end and back-end systems. You’ll play a key role in technical design, solving complex engineering problems, and mentoring other developers while helping ensure our products remain robust, scalable, and secure.This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working across the full stack, contributing to architectural decisions, and building modern cloud-based applications in a supportive and innovation-focused environment.In this role you will:Design, develop, and maintain software components across front-end and back-end systemsContribute to technical design approaches that meet functional, quality, performance, and scalability requirementsDevelop applications using technologies such as .NET Core, C#, ASP. NET Core, REST APIs, and modern JavaScript frameworksBuild and maintain cloud-native applications and servicesWork with containerised environments such as Docker and KubernetesAnalyse system performance and identify opportunities for improvementWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following agreed engineering standardsParticipate in code reviews, automated testing, and defect resolutionCollaborate closely with engineers, product owners, testers, and other teams in an agile environmentSupport existing products and contribute to continuous improvement of our platformsMentor and share knowledge with other engineers within the teamAbout YouYou’re an experienced software engineer who enjoys building high-quality solutions and tackling complex technical challenges. You bring a collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving ability, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.You’ll bring:A relevant tertiary qualification at Bachelor Degree Level OR 5+ years of commercial software development experienceStrong experience with .NET Core, C#, and ASP.NET Core or a comparable modern development stackExperience building REST APIs and web servicesSolid experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL ServerFront-end experience using HTML5, CSS, and a modern JavaScript framework such as React or AngularExperience working in Agile software development environmentsUnderstanding of secure web development practices (OWASP, CORS, etc.)Experience building or deploying applications in cloud environmentsWorking at GallagherYou’ll be part of a global, future-focused organisation where engineering talent is valued and supported.
