This is a mature application (approximately 10 years old) with a sophisticated and highly discerning user base that has zero tolerance for defects or instability.In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with two seasoned iOS engineers and play a pivotal part in accelerating modernization initiatives, increasing development velocity, and upholding an exceptionally high standard of quality. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who thrives in complex codebases and can deliver immediate, meaningful impact.This is a remote role for a 6+ month contract.What You’ll DoContribute to the ongoing modernization of a large-scale, production iOS applicationBuild new features using SwiftUI while maintaining and enhancing legacy UIKit componentsCollaborate with design and product partners using Figma and LinearOwn frontend development end-to-end, from requirements through App Store releaseWrite, test, and maintain high-quality code with 90%+ coverage for all new developmentParticipate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and test planningEnsure smooth release cycles and proactively mitigate potential Apple App Store review issuesWork within an established CI/CD pipeline leveraging Fastlane and Azure DevOpsTechnical EnvironmentPlatform: Native iOS (Apple frameworks only)Language: Swift (approximately 99%)UI: SwiftUI (new development), UIKit (legacy)Architecture: MVVM (new development)Data Modeling: Core DataTesting: Current coverage at 91%; all new code must meet or exceed 90%CI/CD: Fastlane with Azure PipelinesCollaboration Tools: Linear (requirements and ticketing), Figma (design)Required QualificationsSenior-level experience developing production, customer-facing iOS applicationsDeep expertise in Swift, Xcode, and Apple iOS frameworksStrong hands-on experience with SwiftUI and maintaining UIKit-based codebasesProven success working within large, complex applications with nuanced edge casesSolid understanding of MVVM architecture principlesExperience writing robust unit and integration testsExcellent communication skills and strong attention to detailComfort working with a demanding user base where quality is non-negotiableBonus / Nice to HaveExperience with audio processing on iOSFamiliarity with WebSockets for real-time data or feedbackPrior experience navigating or resolving Apple App Store review challengesWhy This RoleMake an immediate impact on a mature, high-value iOS productWork within a deeply technical codebase with uncompromising quality standardsCollaborate with a focused and experienced mobile engineering teamInfluence ongoing modernization efforts while maintaining stability and user trustAbout SOLTECH
