- Develop and execute category growth strategies aligned with revenue, margin, and market expansion goals.
- Manage category assortment, SKU planning, product launches, and portfolio optimization.
- Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, trade terms, rebates, service levels, and commercial agreements.
- Drive pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and profitability improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams for inventory planning, demand forecasting, and stock availability.
- Monitor batch management, expiry control, returns, and inventory efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with pharma regulations, documentation, sourcing, and quality standards.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Product teams for category growth initiatives.
- Track category performance through dashboards, reports, and business analytics.
- Analyze market trends, customer buying patterns, and supplier performance for continuous improvement.
- Support institutional and B2B customer requirements through effective category planning.
Requisites
- MBA / PGDM or degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Strong understanding of pharma category management, distribution, and B2B business operations.
- Experience in supplier negotiations, pricing strategy, and trade promotions.
- Knowledge of pharma supply chain, procurement, inventory management, and batch/expiry handling.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, dashboards, and demand forecasting.
- Good understanding of profitability management, margins, and business growth strategies.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and vendor coordination skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive execution effectively.
- Customer-focused approach with understanding of institutional and B2B buying patterns.
- Strong compliance orientation with attention to documentation and quality standards.
