Software and Training CoordinatorThe JLVC Software and Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, engaging, and working with vendors to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of JLVC software to the Joint Synthetic Training Environment (JSTE). They also liaises with software vendors to understand, plan, and facilitate training for technical teams on Joint Live Virtual and Constructive (JLVC) simulation applications, and the broader simulation federation.1. Represent Australian interests in the JLVC development cycle, and maintain excellent working relationships with all vendors that provide simulation software as part of the JLVC federation.
2. Engage vendors to schedule software releases in accordance with established Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases.
3. Manage the process for the transfer and receipt of simulation applications, version updates, and application patching.
4. Engage technical teams across the JSTE to provide recommendations on software utilisation, upgrade paths, and prioritisation of effort.
5. Prepare and maintain the JLVC training plan to ensure that all technical simulation resources have the training and skills on JLVC applications required for their respective roles.
6. Conduct training needs analysis to identify required simulation training for technical personnel.
7. Engage with vendors to understand the development path of the JLVC federation and its implications for delivery of simulation enabled events.
8. Provide advice to Commonwealth representatives on optimum training scheduling and prioritisation of applications.
9. Plan and coordinate vendor visits in accordance with the JLVC training plan and application prioritisation.
10. Apply Information Technology Infrastructure Management (ITIL) Service Management principles and processes under direction. This includes participation in Change Advisory Boards (CAB), implementation of approved changes, and utilising service management toolsets for tasking and scheduling.
11. Handle classified information in accordance with Commonwealth policy including the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM).
12. Responsible for the protection of Commonwealth Intellectual Property (IP) and upholding Defence’s international obligations including Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.
13. Work closely with other JCTB technical teams, and may be assigned to cross-skill, cross-functional or project teams as directed.
