You will play a key role in improving developer productivity, system reliability, and deployment velocity across our engineering organization. This role requires deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and modern platform engineering practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWSArchitect and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS or self-managed) for large-scale production workloadsBuild and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitOps principlesDrive infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormationImplement robust observability systems using Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Coralogix, etc.Ensure high system reliability, performance, and cost efficiencyAutomate operational workflows, deployments, and incident response processesLead production incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortemsCollaborate with development teams to improve system design, performance, and release processesDefine and enforce best practices for security, scalability, and reliability (SRE principles)Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform engineering strategyRequired Skills & Experience5+ years (SDE III) / 8+ years (SDE IV) of experience in DevOps / SRE / Platform EngineeringStrong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.)Deep expertise in Kubernetes (networking, scaling, debugging, internals preferred)Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, etc.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)Strong understanding of observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Coralogix)Experience with containerization (Docker) and microservices architectureSolid Linux fundamentals and troubleshooting skillsProgramming/scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar)Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response systemsStrong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systemsPreferred QualificationExperience with AI-powered DevOps / AIOps tools (e.g., anomaly detection, automated RCA, intelligent alerting)Familiarity with LLM-based tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, internal AI assistants for DevOps workflows)Experience building or integrating AI-driven observability or automation systemsExposure to eBPF-based observability or advanced performance toolingExperience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environmentsContributions to open-source projects or internal platform toolingWhat We ValueStrong ownership mindset and bias for actionAbility to work in high-scale, high-availability environmentsPassion for automation and eliminating toilSystems thinking and problem-solving approachClear communication and collaboration skillsNice-to-Have (Differentiators for SDE IV)Experience leading platform or DevOps teamsProven track record of scaling infrastructure for high-traffic systemsExperience designing internal developer platforms (IDP)Deep expertise in cost optimization and capacity planningStrong understanding of Kubernetes internals and cloud architecture patternsImpact You Will MakeImprove deployment frequency and reduce lead time for changesIncrease system uptime and reliabilityReduce operational overhead through automationEnable faster and safer product innovation
