Job Profile:Purpose of Role:This role will assist in executing the testing of Financial Crimes Compliance systems and tools in accordance with the annual test plan. This will include verification of data sources, analysis and validation of data lineage and integrity across the systems, verification of system controls over data quality, and other validation activities as needed.Main Responsibilities:
- As one of the lead members of the GFCCT S&T team, responsible for supporting the activities of the team, including end-to-end systems testing between primary source systems and sanctions screening and transaction monitoring systems such as HotScan, Actimize or other systems to detect control breaks and mitigate financial crimes risk.
- Assist in performing planned systems testing reviews, including scoping, planning, documenting process and data flows, and analyzing data input/output results, while ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the financial crimes compliance functionality of the systems.
- Assess and validate that controls are in place and designed to ensure the end-to-end completeness and accuracy of transaction and customer data from primary source systems to transaction filtering and transaction monitoring systems such as HotScan, Actimize or other systems.
- Stay abreast of the latest data management and IT related developments concerning AML and Sanctions, fraud schemes, and security issues.
- Assist in the preparation of written reports which summarize the Objectives, Scope, Findings and Conclusions for each assigned review, for consumption of all stakeholders.
- Execute issue validation processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Monitor developments, such as regulatory changes, payment infrastructure environment upgrades, which may necessitate ad hoc testing.
Candidate Profile:Skills and knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of complex data formats, data mapping, and data lineage concepts.
- Advanced data analytics experience using SQL, SAS, and related tools (e.g., Python, Alteryx).
- Solid understanding of complex system architectures, with the ability to develop and execute test plans for financial crimes compliance systems (e.g., Actimize, SAS AML, HotScan, FIS Prime).
- Experience performing data analysis and producing detailed documentation of end-to-end data flows across settlement, screening, and monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with cross border payment standards and infrastructures, including SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 MX messaging standards, and U.S. clearing systems such as CHIPS and Fedwire.
- Experience coordinating systems testing activities, including test planning, test case development, execution, and defect management.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Ability to lead and drive complex discussions with management and key stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, well-structured documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
Education & professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- ACAMS certification or relevant professional qualification is a plus.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) (Sanctions screening/KYC/Transaction Monitoring).
- Strong exposure to IT testing processes, including Test planning, test case preparation, test execution, and test.
- evidence validation, with a focus on FCC systems.
