Shopify Technical Lead

Job Description :Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Shopify development projects from conception to delivery.

• Design and develop high-quality, responsive Shopify themes and custom applications.

• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions.

• Develop, test, and maintain custom Shopify apps using Shopify APIs and third-party services.

• Optimize website performance, speed, and overall user experience.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring quick resolution.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging Shopify and web development trends and technologies.

Technical Expectations:

• Strong knowledge of Shopify’s API ecosystem, including REST, GraphQL, and webhook integration.

• Expertise in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React, Vue.js, or similar frameworks).

• Proficient in backend technologies such as Node.js, PHP, Ruby on Rails, or Python.

• Experience with custom Shopify app development using technologies like Shopify CLI and Polaris.

• Skilled in integrating third-party services and plugins into Shopify stores.

• Familiarity with headless commerce architecture and JAMstack approaches.

• Strong command over version control systems, especially Git.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and deployment strategies.

• Proficient in database management using SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Understanding of security best practices in e-commerce environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer with a focus on Shopify development.

• Proven experience in a lead or senior role within a development team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
