Senior Manager – Sustainability

Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Manager – Sustainability to join our team in NEOM. Parsons is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the development of NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.The Senior Manager – Sustainability role sits with the Proponent within the Design Excellence Team, which is a specialist technical advisory team representing key strategi disciplines. From concept design through master planning, the Sustainability function within the DE Team provides technical advice and guidance to the design and engineering consultant teams based on Neom’s regional environment and sustainability principles and The Line’s specific objectives and KPIs. The Sustainability Team works closely with the other functions in DE, including Microclimate and Ecology, Mobility, and Infrastructure to drive integrated and innovative design solutions and high-performance outcomes across the project.What You’ll Be Doing:Development of sustainability certification aspects of scope of works and contracts.Review of design consultant proposals (commercial and technical, as appropriate).Conduct Consultant training workshops, onboarding and engagement.Input to design review process (commercial and technical, as appropriate)Management of work in compliance with relevant NEOM Procedures, Standards and Employer Requirements, notably NEOM-NEV-EMR-401 and NEOM-NEV-PRC-501, including delivery of: sustainability certification pathway strategy and certification plan(s), self-scorecards and gap analysis.Reviewing master planning, neighborhood and asset design for compliance with Regenerative Development Management System: Guide to plan, design, assess, construct, and operate developments to achieve economic growth and improve environmental and social capital; PRC-501 Environment Procedures Interim sustainability requirements procedure; Sustainability Policy Framework: Includes Climate Positive Framework, Net Positive Biodiversity Framework, and Circular Economy FrameworkManagement and reporting of design consultant progress against sustainability certification and governance related Key Performance Indicators and targets.Co-ordinates closely with other DE disciplines team to ensure an integrated design approach embeds key sustainability strategies.Supports engagement with THE LINE Proponent, NEV and sustainability certification bodies (primarily Envision and LEED Cities) to develop and implement a sustainability certification strategy.Develop and deliver presentations to senior leadership, external partners, and other stakeholders to communicate the vision, strategy, and progress of sustainability certification.What Required Skills You’ll Bring:Degree and higher in relevant sustainability specialism with a minimum of 15 years experience.Relevant Sustainability Credential (Envision Sustainability Professional (Envision SP)Significant experience providing strategic level sustainability input to complex, multi-disciplinary projectsExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.Strong management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
