Position Objectives:
To manage the execution of educational curriculum projects as a Project Manager for the Day 1 Program (First Day of School). The Project Manager is responsible for project planning and monitoring the process and progress to ensure smooth implementation.Job Description & Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop comprehensive project plans for curriculum readiness, ensuring alignment with the program’s overall goals and objectives.
- Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and milestones related to curriculum design, approval, and distribution.
- Coordinate with educational policymakers, curriculum developers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with national educational standards.
- Ensure all curriculum-related materials are ready for distribution and implementation within established deadlines.
Curriculum Development and Implementation
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and stakeholders to incorporate feedback into curriculum readiness and delivery.
- Ensure that curriculum delivery methods are effective and accessible, leveraging digital platforms where applicable.
- Monitor the distribution and deployment of curriculum materials across schools, ensuring readiness before Day 1.
- Create and review executive reports and adopt necessary recommendations for management.
Training and Support for Curriculum Utilization
- Coordinate with the Staff and Teachers Project Manager to ensure teachers receive adequate training on curriculum implementation.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to familiarize educators with new curriculum materials and teaching methods.
- Provide ongoing support to schools and educators to address curriculum-related challenges.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure curriculum materials meet the highest quality standards, aligning with both local and international educational benchmarks.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure adherence to guidelines and standards.
- Oversee curriculum testing and validation processes to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Act as the main point of contact for curriculum-related activities, engaging with departments, curriculum experts, and school administrations.
- Organize and lead regular stakeholder meetings to provide updates, resolve issues, and align on curriculum readiness.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports to program leadership, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and mitigation plans.
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify and address potential risks that may impact curriculum readiness, including delays in content approval or material distribution.
- Maintain a risk register and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Address issues promptly, ensuring they do not affect the program’s Day 1 objectives.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Incorporate lessons learned from previous curriculum readiness projects to improve planning and execution.
- Explore and implement innovative approaches to curriculum delivery, including the use of technology and blended learning models.
Qualifications & Experience:Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- 10+ years of experience in curriculum development, project management, or educational program delivery.
- Accredited relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, CPLP, CSM).
- Proven track record of managing large-scale curriculum readiness or similar educational initiatives.
- Familiarity with educational standards and guidelines relevant to the specific education sector (K-12, higher education, corporate training).
- Understanding of current trends in education, instructional design, and assessment strategies.
- Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Proficiency in managing deliverables, milestones, and KPIs for educational projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure alignment across departments.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving curriculum-related challenges.
- Ability to adapt to changes in project scope and priorities.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office; program/project management software (MS Project, etc.), Power Bi is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (Arabic and English).
