Forwarding Assistant

• Candidate must possess at least SPM, Diploma, or Advanced/Higher qualification in transportation or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years of working experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry (Declaration).
• Knowledge of Customs and Port Authority requirements (K1-9), ZB1 & ZB2, COO & FTA, and HS codes.
• Required skill(s): Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, self-disciplines, computer literate, presentation preparation and report.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Malay.
• Willing to work in a challenging environment.
• Possession of “Kursus Ejen Kastam” certification is a plus.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Language required: Mandarin & English.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and experience in handling K1/K2/K3/K4/K8/K9/ZB1/ZB2/ZB4 and DG declarations.
• Handle all customs formalities with customs and other authorities regarding customs clearance.
• Manage forwarding activities to ensure timely clearance of import and export goods.
• Visit the port daily to process customs file submissions (if needed).
• Monitor and update container statuses through the port system.
• Oversee the loading and unloading processes at warehouses and ports (if needed).
• Experienced in EDI, Dagang.NET, and Port VGM submissions.
• Liaise with clients and agents to provide proper HS codes and advise on duty/tax amounts upon inquiry.
• Provide timely reports and appropriate analysis.
• Ensure proper documentation filing and system updates.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the superior from time to time.
