This is a full-time on-site role for a Fire Protection Engineer at ALYOUSEF ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS (AEC). The Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for ensuring life safety and fire safety by designing and implementing fire suppression systems. The engineer will also be involved in safety engineering and will collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with fire protection regulations and standards.
Fire Protection Engineer Duties
Develop and implement fire protection system designs
Analyze existing fire protection systems and recommend improvements
Research fire safety regulations and standards and ensure compliance
Conduct fire safety inspections and tests
Develop fire safety plans, procedures and protocols
Provide guidance and technical advice to facility staff and management on fire safety
Evaluate fire protection system components and materials
Prepare cost estimates and bid specifications for fire protection system projects
Monitor and assist with the installation of fire protection system projects
Prepare reports and presentations on fire protection systems and activities
Fire Protection Engineer Skills
Knowledge of fire code and state and local regulations
Ability to interpret and apply regulations to building design and construction
Ability to work with architects, developers, and other engineers to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations
