Embedded Software Engineer

Job Title: Embedded Software EngineerJob DescriptionWe are a power management company focused on electrification and digitalization. The product for this mandate is the controls of the Windows CE gateway currently used by many utilities. The new product is the SMP (Linux). The developer will work on both products, focusing on substation monitoring and automation.Responsibilities

• Develop applications in Windows and Linux using C++
• Troubleshoot complex systems
• Create the build environment for HQ to facilitate knowledge transfer
• Troubleshoot legacy products and develop solutions in C++
• Fix bugs
• Develop new features in C++
• Troubleshoot complex systems with C and C++
• Work in a networking protocol environment (TCP)
• Troubleshoot PostgreSQL problems

Essential Skills

• 7 years of experience in embedded development
• 7 years of experience developing in a C++ environment
• 2 years of experience with multithreading
• 1 year of experience with communication protocols
• Experience with C++, Windows, Linux, multithreading, Boost, STL, and networking protocols
• Bilingual

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with embedded C
• Experience with C#

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is located at our America’s Innovation Center in Brossard, QC. The new facility features low cubicles and a full lab.
