Job Description:Position Summary:The CFO is responsible for leading, guiding and directing Retal financial and accounting services by developing financial strategies, business plans and policies, defining accounting practices, building relationships with institutions and the financial community, overseeing the investment planning, directing treasury, budgeting and risk insurance.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Articulate how the Retal objectives and KPIs translate to the Retal Finance departments performance.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the Retal business plan and budgets.
- Ensure on-going alignment with Retal’s overall strategy and direction.
- Manage to the Board agreed risk profile the investment requirements for Retal providing financial assessment of new ventures / businesses as required.
- Provides financial and operational advice, recommendations, and guidance to the operating units in ways that make optimal use of all Retal financial and non-financial resources.
- Define and oversees the Retal financial strategy (i.e. treasury, financial planning & budgeting, financial investments) in consultation with the CEO.
- Direct and manage short-term, mid-term and long-term operational and investment plans to ensure liquidity while minimizing interest expense.
- Negotiate and obtain new bank facilities as required by the company and optimize bank facilities utilization based on current requirements.
- Analyse external influence such as interest rates, credit availability, competition and global business trends and advice management on how to optimize performance during such events.
- Optimize the use of foreign exchange by designing and implementing a new โprofit centerโ for Retal.
- Assist in determining the right audit firm is responsible for completing the audits on time at the highest possible standard.
- Ensuring Retal’s culture and professional standards are fully understood, implemented and maintained throughout the Finance and Accounting Division.
- Leading by example to drive the implementation of Retal values and principles.
- Direct and oversee the development of department policies, procedures and processes to maintain efficient operational excellence to achieve Retal’s overall strategic objectives.
- Direct and approve the design of the common chart of accounts.
- Build, develop and maintain the financial system that encompasses a proper Accounting, Purchasing, Receivables management and inventory management information System as per the best practice.
- Directs the development of all Retal functional departments policies, procedures and processes with respect to budgeting, risk mitigation and reconciliation between actual and forecasts for both income and expenses.
- Provide guidance, support, leadership and management to the Finance & Accounting function (corporate and business units) employees to ensure effective and efficient flow of work, and ensure that all employees recognize their fundamental roles in their respective functions to achieve Retal’s overall organizational objectives.
- Assess and evaluate company business processes within the current scope of work, to ensure strict compliance with international standard and best practice.
- Provide financial support to Sales and Marketing Department.
- Review and monitor sales invoicing and collections as a function of credit control.
- Monitor and control cost estimation; purchase order and sales order related processes.
- Supports the CEO, and all Business Unit Managers by developing budgets at both the Retal corporate and functional levels, with all recommendations and adjustments presented to the Board of Directors.
- Monitor the adherence of all other divisions to the Company’s financial services and control policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Designs and implement an internal auditing process, to identify potential areas that are vulnerable to fraud and set up the corrective measures to resolve.
- Ensure systematic, timely and accurate consolidation, reporting and communication of the Company’s results to Stakeholders, through the CEO.
- Direct and manage the Finance & Accounting function, assuring availability of key staff and resources through coordination with the Human Resources Manager.
- Manage the preparation of projected cash flow statements including the projected bank’s facility requirements and timings.
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements and internal reports, and coordinates budget control activities
- Setting and monitoring financial โsourceโ activity KPI’s on an annual basis for Retal and its departments
- Conduct annual performance appraisal to review the finance and accounting team’s performance, carrying out disciplinary meetings when needed, recommending salary adjustments, rewards and promotions based on employee performance result
- Perform monthly variance analysis of financial statements against approved budgets/ forecasts and advice the management on the current scenario and recommend corrective actions to achieved targets.
- Manage the receivables, payable, inventory and periodic reviews in order to effectively manage working capital and minimize write offs.
- Develop and apply the policy for Fixed Asset Management that encompasses assets identification and tracking, periodic depreciation, revaluation, asset purchase and asset disposal.
- Review expense claims of company employees, benefits and implement policies set out in the company’s policy manual.
- Ensuring all financials are prepared based on Saudi Accounting Standards as issued by SOCPA and relative compliance with department of ZAKAT and income tax (DZIT).

Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent as must
- Master’s in Business Administration is preferred
- Registered Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant
- Minimum of 10-15 years of related experience at a senior management level, within a regional business with multiple investments value of approximately 1 billion SAR
