Assistant Manager – McLean, VA (Direct Hire- Full Time, M-F)IST Management Services is sourcing for a direct hire, full-time, Assistant Manager position in McLean, VA. This position will work full-time hours per day in a mail room. Applicant must be able to meet client standards to fill position.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities may include:

• Maintain effective written and oral communications with clients and employees
• Prioritize work and deploy staff as required to ensure customer needs are met in regards to on-time delivery of services and quality of work
• Ensures all work standards are met on a consistent basis; Ensures all work standards are met on a consistent basis by IST site employees
• Accurately prepare and distribute management reports to the client in a timely and consistent manner; Manage the budget and controls expenses
• Insures maximization of productivity through efficient use of standard operating procedures; Develops new procedures to improve the operation of the sites and to lower operating costs
• Manages, trains and coaches’ employees and develops a work environment that promotes high motivation and customer satisfaction
• Ensures the proper and safe use of all equipment used by employees and complete tasks as assigned; Respond to building occupant requests and monitor Service Now ticket queue
• Manages conference room setup and breakdown – chairs, easels, etc.; Assist with handling office moves, box moves and conference room setups

QualificationsJob Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• One year experience supervising or managing similar operations preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and familiarity with computer basics is preferred
• Must have customer service skills and be able to maintain a consistent, high level of service; Ability to communicate both verbally and written with customers and other employees both one-on-one and during meetings
• Knowledge of supervisory techniques to manage, motivate and train employees
• Ability to prepare reports and present information to customers
• Must have attention to detail and critically think through and resolve problems; Ability to multi-task, manage multiple accounts and establish priorities
• A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to and from work; Lifting up to 55 pounds; standing for long periods of time; significant walking; willingness to cross-train for other job functions
