AM Analytics Software Engineer

  • collaborate with CDO and business partners in the UBS Asset Management to address development of new requirements and support the business for any issues and queries on the data and analytics
  • act as a US point of contact for the AM Analytics users in the US and lead the development from US within the AM Analytics solutions, working closely with the team across the other regions
  • ensure the AM Analytics platform is secure, scalable, and resilient, supporting business continuity and long-term growth
  • serve as a techno-functional engineer with a strong grasp of technical architecture and some good understanding of the business needs
  • communicate effectively with diverse audiences, manage relationships, and translate complex technical insights into actionable business value
  • could join our Certified Engineer Development Program and participate in various technology guilds focused on data, artificial intelligence, and other domains aligned with your interests, these communities offer a platform to contribute across UBS, foster innovation, and expand your expertise

  • ideally 5+ years of diverse experience in designing and managing innovative analytics and AI solutions; experience in the financial or fintech industry is a strong advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • proven, hands-on experience in data engineering with strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Azure Kubernetes, and Azure Cloud and exposure to AI, DevOps practices, and web service integration is highly valued
  • solid background in relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL; experience with non-relational databases is a plus
  • strong knowledge of data engineering practices, including data profiling and ETL/ELT pipeline development
  • experience with big data platforms such as Databricks, Cassandra, Apache Spark, and Hadoop and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau is a plus
  • skilled in working with distributed systems, clustering, and replication technologies and practical experience with machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
  • familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and AI model development and deployment workflows (e.g., MLOps)
