The Senior Treasury Analyst will lead and coordinate treasury functions across the Qatar Airways Group, ensuring efficient cash management, strong liquidity planning, and effective treasury risk controls. The role works closely with finance, treasury, IT, and business teams to enhance treasury systems, reporting, and decision support while aligning with the airline’s long-term financing and capital structure strategy.Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash positions by analyzing balances, funding requirements, banking activities, and foreign exchange movements
- Ensure smooth domestic and international banking operations and maintain direct coordination with financial institutions
- Analyze money market quotes and recommend optimal liquidity and investment decisions
- Prepare and maintain treasury accounting records, reports, and reconciliations
- Forecast short-term and medium-term cash flow requirements and report liquidity needs to management
- Maintain loan schedules, calculate interest, and coordinate principal and interest payments
- Manage letters of credit, bank guarantees, corporate cards, emergency cards, and petty cash processes
- Analyze foreign exchange execution against budgets and market benchmarks
- Prepare monthly bank and general ledger reconciliation reports for head office and outstations
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, analyze variances, and support annual budget preparation
- Identify financial risk exposures and support the development of treasury risk management strategies
- Maintain treasury risk registers and support compliance and assurance reporting
- Support fleet and fleet-related financing accounting and documentation
- Provide financial analysis to support long-term funding strategies and optimal capital structure
- Produce treasury KPIs and recommend process, system, and control improvements
- Perform other treasury and finance duties as assigned
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of four years of relevant experience, or diploma with a minimum of five years of experience
- Experience in corporate treasury or investment banking environments
- Strong knowledge of banking products, financing instruments, and payment systems
- Experience in cash management, liquidity planning, and treasury reporting
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and support strategic decision-making
- Strong coordination skills and ability to work across finance, IT, and business teams
- Experience in process improvement and people development
- Treasury-related professional qualification preferred
