The role sits within the Application Operations team and ensures asset availability, compliance, cost control, and application stability across enterprise and manufacturing environments.rnThis position owns the end-to-end hardware asset lifecycle, including catalog management, procurement coordination, leasing administration, warranty handling, staging, configuration, deployment, and retirement of devices such as scanners, industrial tablets, handheld devices, mobile computers, vehicle-mounted devices, label printers, and end-user computing hardware. The role also provides L2 application support, handling incidents, service requests, RCA, and change support escalated from L1, while ensuring adherence to ITIL, CMDB, audit, and licensing requirements.rnThe engineer acts as a key coordination point between procurement, vendors\/OEMs, L3 teams, and business stakeholders, maintaining accurate asset records, supporting audits, and ensuring uninterrupted operations through structured processes, documentation, and on-site or remote support when required.<\/span>Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/span>Hardware Asset Management:rnManage end-to-end hardware asset lifecycle including procurement support, inventory, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.rnMaintain accurate asset records in asset management systems and CMDB.rnEnsure compliance with asset governance, audit, and licensing requirements.rnrnHardware Catalogue Management for approved OT devices and accessories: Maintain an up-to-date catalogue of OT hardware type (Label Scanners, Industrial Tablets, Handheld devices, Mobile Computers, Vehicle Mounted Devices, Label Printers). Ensure specification and pricing are up to date, devices are compatible with system application.rnrnOrder and Delivery Management including supplier coordination and logistics:rnCoordinate with procurement team for release of orders to OEM\/vendor. Tracking the order, coordination with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery and issuance to the end-users.rnrnHardware Leasing Administration covering contracts, renewals, and lease closures:rnManage hardware asset leasing from contract setup to renewals and end-of-lease activities, ensuring timely tracking, compliance, cost control, and smooth transitions for returns, extensions, or replacements in line with business needs.rnrnWarranty and Guarantee Management for repairs and replacements: Coordinate for warranty claims, RMA and repairs through OEM and vendors.rnrnStaging (CUSTOMER Germany and UK offices) and Parcel Deliveryrno Inspecting and preparing hardwarerno Installing and configuring operating systemsrno Applying profiles and configuring device modes (such as Kiosk, Shared, or Dedicated)rno Loading applications and softwarerno Configuring devicesrno Asset tagging and inventory controlrn\u2022 Application Support (L2):rnProvide L2 support for enterprise applications and end-user computing applications.rnEnsure application availability, performance, and controlled lifecycle management.rn<\/span>Skill Requirements<\/b><\/span>Hands-on experience in Hardware Asset Management and end-user computing support.rn\u2022 Strong understanding of hardware and asset lifecycle management processes.rn\u2022 Experience providing L2 application support in an enterprise environment.rn\u2022 Good knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management (ITIL).rn\u2022 Experience with ITSM and Asset Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, CMDB).rn\u2022 Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware, OS, and application issues.rn\u2022 Strong documentation, audit, and compliance awareness.rn<\/span>Other Requirements<\/b><\/span>Fluent in English<\/span>Information at a Glance<\/span>Why HCLTech?<\/span>At HCLTech, you’ll supercharge your potential.
