Summary<\/b><\/span>Trimble in Chennai is seeking a Software Engineer II for its Business Systems Engineering Team to build and run a large-scale, distributed Access Management System. This Team in Chennai will strive to make a high-performance System of Profiles with strong authorization capabilities.<\/span>The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable backend systems, APIs, cloud-native applications, and distributed architectures. Also provides work estimates and is involved in the review of code and designs and gives constructive feedback.<\/span>Key Responsibility<\/b><\/span>Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and microservices using Python.<\/span>Architect scalable system components and contribute to overall system design.<\/span>Write clean, efficient, and testable code following industry best practices.<\/span>Build RESTful and\/or GraphQL APIs and integrate with internal\/external systems.<\/span>Develop asynchronous, event-driven, or message-based architectures as needed.<\/span>Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.<\/span>Document work, software designs, code and record and produce test reports.<\/span>Present work to the team for review or other purposes.<\/span>Participate in reviews of work done by peers and provide constructive feedback.<\/span>Sub-Module level responsibility in large projects and Module (or component) level responsibility in small \/ medium sized projects and complete responsibility is small sized projects, depending upon the complexity and decomposition.<\/span>Troubleshoot complex issues across the stack and drive root-cause analysis.<\/span>Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.<\/span>Other duties as required and requested by management.<\/span>Skill set and background<\/span>4+ years of experience in Python development.<\/span>Strong knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar.<\/span>Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.<\/span>Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices.<\/span>Expertise with REST APIs, authentication.<\/span>Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).<\/span>Familiarity with async programming (asyncio, Celery, event-driven messaging).<\/span>Strong debugging and performance profiling skills.<\/span>Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.<\/span>Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS\/Azure\/GCP).<\/span>Knowledge of C# is favorable<\/span>Proficiency with Git, CI\/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).<\/span>Must have served in an organization where agile practices are in use.<\/span>Upbeat, highly motivated and self-starter.<\/span>Education<\/b><\/span>Must be a graduate of a premier institute studying Computer Engineering.<\/span>Soft Skills<\/b><\/span>Strong communication and collaboration skills.<\/span>Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.<\/span>Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.<\/span>Leadership and mentoring capabilities.<\/span>Key Result Areas<\/b><\/span>Accountability for assignments, timely delivery and meeting or exceeding quality requirements.<\/span>Supervisory Responsibility<\/b><\/span>Supervise a small team of software engineers, if assigned.<\/span>Reporting To<\/b><\/span>Team Leader or above.<\/span>How to Apply: Please submit an online application for this position by clicking on the \u2018Apply Now\u2019 button located in this posting.<\/span>Join a Values-Driven Team: Belong, Grow, Innovate.<\/span>At Trimble, our core values of Belong, Grow, and Innovate aren’t just words\u2014they’re the foundation of our culture.
