Connect with a career that matters, and help us build a safer future.<\/span>Department Overview We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator + Cloud Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. They will oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and data security systems.<\/span>Job Description<\/b><\/span>Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems across the organization, while ensuring optimal performance.<\/span>Manage cloud-based resources and services, including virtual machines, storage, and network-related components within providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.<\/span>Automate tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.<\/span>Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of services and infrastructure.<\/span>Implement and maintain security measures and controls, including firewall configurations, patch management, and intrusion detection systems.<\/span>Perform routine\/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.<\/span>Collaborate with network staff to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.<\/span>Work with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.<\/span>Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam.<\/span>Oversee and test disaster recovery plans.<\/span>Document configurations, changes, and procedures.<\/span>Basic Requirements<\/b><\/span>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.<\/span>Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator and Cloud Administrator with a strong understanding of Linux internals.<\/span>Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managing hybrid cloud environments.<\/span>Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.<\/span>Experience with scripting and automation tools.<\/span>A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.<\/span>Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.<\/span>Certifications in Linux & and cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate).<\/span>Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat Openshift ).<\/span>Familiarity with database management and related services.<\/span>Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).<\/span>Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies.<\/span>This position may require being on-call periodically and working outside of standard business hours, including weekends and evenings, to resolve issues as they arise and to perform scheduled maintenance.<\/span>Travel Requirements None<\/span>Relocation Provided None<\/span>Position Type Experienced<\/span>Referral Payment Plan No<\/span>EEO Statement<\/span>Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
