Job Requisition ID #<\/span>25WD87941<\/span>Position Overview<\/b><\/span>The Autodesk Growth Engineering Technology \u2013 Commerce and Support Assistant team is looking for a passionate Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in distributed systems to join us. Become a key part of Autodesk\u2019s mission to build a scalable, real-time collaboration and AI assistant platform that powers support and commerce experiences across Autodesk products.<\/span>This role is based in Bengaluru, India, and reports to a Senior Engineering Manager located in San Francisco, CA, USA. This is an exciting opportunity to build innovative systems and learn from some of the best in the industry.<\/span>Responsibilities<\/b><\/span>Regularly address significant and most challenging problems on the team, from technical design to launch<\/span>Deliver solutions that are used by other teams and products.<\/span>Devise strategies for tackling large projects<\/span>Regularly address complex architectural challenges and implement architectural standards in new projects<\/span>Lead code reviews & documentation as well as take on complex bug fixes, especially on high-risk problems<\/span>Partner across engineering teams to take on company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projects<\/span>Mentor junior members<\/span>On-call support, requiring availability on a rotating schedule for evenings and weekends to ensure 24\/7 availability of the application<\/span>Minimum Qualifications<\/b><\/span>BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field involving coding<\/span>Over 6 years of professional experience developing scalable, distributed applications<\/span>Part of a large distributed team with significant responsibility<\/span>Minimum 6 years of experience as a full-stack engineer developing and testing both frontend and backend<\/span>Strong experience in programming languages like ReactJS and NodeJS<\/span>Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript<\/span>Experience designing and building RESTful APIs using Microservices architecture<\/span>Strong knowledge of AWS, Databases (SQL\/NoSQL) and cloud architecture<\/span>Experience with Git or equivalent distributed revision control systems<\/span>Experience with CI\/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins<\/span>Strong experience and understanding of working on Agile processes like SCRUM<\/span>Strong communication skills, and ability to influence without authority<\/span>Ability to write quality technical documents – functional Specs, high-level\/low level design documents, RFCs etc<\/span>Ability to cultivate consensus and alignment within and across teams<\/span>Self-motivated, quick learner with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong team player<\/span>#LI-SJ1<\/span>Learn More<\/span>About Autodesk
