Job Description: Alpha Business Testing – AVP<\/span>Who we are looking for<\/b><\/span>We are seeking a seasoned leader with a proven track record in managing testing within large-scale, client-facing transformation programs. The AVP will play a pivotal role in the Alpha Global Testing Practice, overseeing strategy, planning, execution, and governance of end-to-end platform testing during Alpha implementations. These programs span complex business models and data flows across front, middle, and back office operations involving State Street, Charles River Development, clients, and industry partners.<\/span>Why this role is important to us<\/span>Alpha is the industry\u2019s first global interoperable platform that unifies front, middle, and back office functions under one provider. Thorough testing of Alpha\u2019s applications, data, and workflows is essential to accelerate implementation timelines, ensure consistent delivery, and provide a seamless client experience. The AVP will be instrumental in driving this transformation and ensuring high-quality outcomes.<\/span>What you will be responsible for<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 Work with Implementation leads and manage global client onboarding programs to the Alpha platform.<\/span>\u00b7 Represent State Street Alpha in client engagements, setting testing expectations and guiding delivery.<\/span>\u00b7 Manage financial planning, resource allocation, and change management for the testing team.<\/span>\u00b7 Provide strategic thought leadership and contribute to the implementation delivery model.<\/span>\u00b7 Oversee a global team of functional and automation testers.<\/span>\u00b7 Drive adoption of best practices and testing standards across workflows and data models.<\/span>\u00b7 Develop and deliver internal and client-facing documentation (e.g., proposals, playbooks, test plans).<\/span>\u00b7 Lead planning and execution of testing activities, reporting progress to senior leadership.<\/span>What we value<\/b><\/span>The successful candidate must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, and understand global portfolio management and financial servicing; including portfolio construction, trading, compliance, and risk across all major asset classes. This position will have interaction with, and exposure to, the highest levels of executive management within State Street and within our clients\u2019 organizations.<\/span>These skills will help you succeed in this role:<\/span>\u00b7 Stakeholder engagement and expectation management across project life cycles.<\/span>\u00b7 Strong interest in global capital markets and quantitative investments.<\/span>\u00b7 Strong analytical and organizational skills .<\/span>\u00b7 Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally structured, and team-based environment, as well as the ability to work independently.<\/span>\u00b7 Experience in agile methodology and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) preferred.<\/span>\u00b7 Electronic trading platforms experience is useful but not essential.<\/span>\u00b7 Experience in portfolio management theory and application is useful but not essential.<\/span>\u00b7 Knowledge of key risk indicators, governance, oversight and escalation practices.<\/span>\u00b7 Presentation preparation and delivery for business risk committees and cross organizational, executive and board of directors\u2019 committees.<\/span>\u00b7 Strong execution management skills for delivery of programs and initiatives.<\/span>\u00b7 Ability to collaborate and work across multiple stakeholders.<\/span>Education & Preferred Qualifications<\/span>\u00b7 Bachelor\u2019s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Management or Information System Management.<\/span>\u00b7 15+ years overall experience with 10+ years of financial and\/or technology transformation experience.<\/span>\u00b7 8+ years leading project teams across internal and external stakeholders.<\/span>About State Street<\/span>What we do.
