Our Finance Department, consisting of Accounting, FP&A, and Tax, is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to support further growth within India. As a member of the finance team, you will have the opportunity to shape the direction and growth of a best-in-class department and company.<\/span>We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional who has extensive financial and accounting management experience within a fast-growing company, as well as enthusiasm and compulsive attention to detail. This person will be responsible for managing and scaling the day-to-day functions of Quora India.<\/span>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>Month end\/ Year end closing:<\/span>Month end\/year end closing transactions including Bank\/Intercompany reconciliation, prepaid, depreciation & forex run, month end accruals, schedules, etc.<\/span>Perform various month end allocations<\/span>Finalise month end reporting package as per USGAAP & IGAAP and profit reconciliation between USGAAP vs IGAAP<\/span>Audit:<\/span>Preparation of financial statements as per Companies Act, prepare & review of audit schedules for statutory\/tax audits<\/span>Liaise with auditors for query resolution<\/span>Tax & Compliances:<\/span>Ensure accurate calculation of monthly\/quarterly\/annual tax liability (tds\/advance tax\/gst\/equalization levy) and timely payment of taxes<\/span>Ensure timely filings of monthly\/quarterly\/annual returns under gst\/tds\/equalization levy with support of external consultant<\/span>Work on tax notices\/assessments with support of external consultants<\/span>Share inputs in required format for form 3CEB\/3CA\/3CD filing and related coordination with auditors<\/span>Analyze 26AS reconciliation and guide AR team with actionable points to ensure 26AS reconciles to books<\/span>Oversee secretarial\/ FEMA compliances applicable to the company<\/span>Day to Day Operations:<\/span>Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) functions ensuring necessary approvals for transactions, maintaining strict adherence to company protocols and policies<\/span>Minimum Requirements:<\/b><\/span>Ability to be available for meetings and impromptu communication during some North America hours<\/span>Professional Degree in accounting, finance, or business<\/span>Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations or equivalent<\/span>5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience<\/span>Strong Excel and data management skills along with Technical Accounting knowledge\/proficiency<\/span>Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and to lead and drive complex initiatives<\/span>Attention to detail, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement<\/span>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills<\/span>Passion for Quora product<\/span>Preferred Requirements:<\/b><\/span>Prior consumer internet experience<\/span>At Quora, we value diversity and inclusivity and welcome individuals from all backgrounds, including marginalized or underrepresented groups in tech, to apply for our job openings.
