With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world\u2019s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Position Summary:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>This is a client facing leadership position within the Process Team, responsible for supporting multiple mid to large sized projects. The Lead Process Engineer will mentor less experienced Engineers; Piping Designers; and CAD Designers in the generation of design documents per the ARCADIS Design Deliverables Matrix.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Typical design elements include Front End Engineering Design studies (Feasibility through the Basis of Design), P&#038;IDs, equipment specification, design coordination through all project phases, process modeling, and reports on specific technical topics required by the project team.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The Lead Process Engineer is expected to demonstrate expertise in a variety of process engineering unit operations and biological manufacturing methods and semi- conductor processes, supported by a wealth of design and\/or operation experiences.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Additional work activities include supporting other ARCADIS offices and Central Operations (i.e. Business Development) in ARCADIS Strategic Initiatives and presenting at relevant industry conferences and publications. The Lead Process Engineer will be mentored by the Discipline Manager and other Senior SME Design Staff within the greater ARCADIS Team.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engage with all levels of ARCADIS and client organizations on technical discussions related to the fields of Chemical and Biological Process Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Manage large project team and support the Discipline Manager in completion of performance reviews for these team members.<\/li>\n<li>Advise as SME in the development of engineering documents, leveraging experience, good engineering judgment, and external resources. Accountable for overall execution of the Process Design including technical quality, budget, and schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate construction activities for large projects; manage TBA, Submittals, RFI, and vendor activities, field evaluations, and commissioning support.<\/li>\n<li>Applies good engineering judgement to daily work, able to support design decisions with sound reasoning and published data when appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced understanding of unit operations encountered in the field of Chemical Engineering with a special emphasis on those present in the Life Sciences, semi-conductor, and other highly technical fields. field. Able to explain theory surrounding these elements and teach the concepts to others.<\/li>\n<li>Provide mentorship and on the job training to less experienced engineers across the ARCADIS organization.<\/li>\n<li>Attend training seminars\/events and conduct industry research to further expertise in key processing technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Publish and present technical work in support of professional development and ARCADIS strategic initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Support other Arcadis Offices, Marketing, and Business Development as a Technical Resource and in the development of proposals and marketing material.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Competencies:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Continuous Learning \u2013Assesses own strengths and weaknesses. Uses technology to increase productivity.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Qualifications:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Education\/Experience: Graduate\/master\u2019s degree or equivalent in (Chemical Engineering); and 15 to 20 years related experience from design and engineering background and Pharmaceuticals\/Bio Pharmaceuticals domain.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Language Ability: Read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries. Write speeches and articles using innovative techniques. Make persuasive presentations on complex topics to management, public groups and\/or boards of directors.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Mathematical Ability: Apply advanced concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. Apply operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, test reliability\/validity, variance analysis, correlation technique, sampling theory and factor analysis.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Reasoning Ability: Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, intermediate knowledge of VISIO, Bluebeam Revu, Hydraulic Flow Software (titles may vary), Process Modeling Software (i.e. SuperPro), Navisworks<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Supervisory Responsibilities (Added Advantage): May have up to 8 direct reports.
