We\u2019re seeking someone to join our FRPPE Tech team as a Frontend Developer, in Risk Technology to building modern, responsive, and intuitive web applications that support the Market Risk Business Ecosystem. You will work alongside product owners, scrum master, backend developers, and UI\/UX designers to deliver high-impact tools.<\/span>In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities.<\/span>This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.<\/span>Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.<\/span>What you\u2019ll do in the role:<\/span>Develop and maintain user-facing features using modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js).<\/span>Translate design wireframes and business requirements into functional, scalable web interfaces.<\/span>Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful \/ GraphQL APIs and services.<\/span>Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.<\/span>Implement automated testing using frameworks like Jest, Cypress or Playwright.<\/span>Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend architecture decisions.<\/span>Maintain consistency with Firm UI\/UX standards and design systems.<\/span>DevOps \/ CI\/CD to deploy and release across environments.<\/span>What you\u2019ll bring to the role:<\/span>5+ years of experience in frontend development.<\/span>Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and one or more modern frameworks (Angular preferred).<\/span>Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.<\/span>Familiarity with Git, Webpack, and CI\/CD pipelines.<\/span>Strong understanding of UI performance optimization and accessibility standards.<\/span>\u200bExcellent communication and collaboration skills.<\/span>At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role<\/span>\u200b Preferred Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>Experience in financial services or risk management applications.<\/span>Exposure to data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, High charts).<\/span>Experience with Unit, Component and E2E testing (e.g. Cypress, Playwright)<\/span>Experience in dashboard platform (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).<\/span>Understanding of market risk concepts such as VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis.<\/span>Familiarity with DevOps tools like Grafana and SonarQube.<\/span>Experience with UX design (e.g. Figma, Axure)<\/span>Experience with Micro Frontends (angular element, module federation, web components)<\/span>WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:<\/span>We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
