Working together, let\u2019s put our time and talents together to advance human health for tomorrow.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Learn about the which makes everything possible.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The Senior Scientist is responsible for supporting the ongoing chemistry projects by carrying out organic synthesis of fluorescent dyes suitable for flow cytometry<span class=\"br\"><\/span>This position reports to the Lead Chemist and is part of the Beckman Coulter Life Sciences Research group located Bangalore Development Center, India, and will be an on-site role.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>In this role, you will have the opportunity to: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work as part of a team towards the invention of novel fluorescent molecules, their synthesis, purification, and characterization of their physical, chemical, and functional properties for biological applications, including use as markers in flow cytometry<\/li>\n<li>Establish internal relationships and interacts with, reagent development groups to understand the current and future needs of the organization<\/li>\n<li>Work independently, actively publish results in per-reviewed journals, generate intellectual property filings that describe technologies and applications that will lead to an innovative and robust fluorescent dyes pipeline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> The essential requirements of the job include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ph.D. or MS in Organic chemistry or related field with 2 plus years post-Ph.D. experience and 7 plus years of post-MS experience relevant to job requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Motivated self-starter with demonstrated ability of successful results, including publications, presentations, intellectual property generation.<\/li>\n<li>Perform research and synthetize and evaluate photophysical properties of dyes to demonstrate feasibility of new dye technologies and applications for cellular analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Keep thorough records of experiments, analyze and present research results on meetings and in publications, track Research Project Plans<\/li>\n<li>Maintain scientific and industry awareness by reviewing literature, competitive IP filings, participating in meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Multicolor flow cytometry and dye-antibody conjugations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
