Our mission is to make it easy and enjoyable for software engineering teams to go from a business idea to delivering an innovative product solution. The main goals are to improve and upgrade our tools, streamline our processes, automate and strengthen our controls, and help development teams adopt modern working methods.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>The Role:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Software Engineers are critical to building the products and services we need to deliver on set of tooling within our department. Joining us a Senior Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to build a high-profile products, work closely with a talented group of peers and have the room to build and improve your own skillset. We believe that our Engineers should be a part of all steps of our product from idea to execution and you will be a key part along every step of that journey. You will also work with Generative AI technologies, such as GPT-4 or Gemini, embedding their capabilities through prompt engineering in our systems.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>As the Senior Software Engineer, you\u2019ll need to demonstrate a deep understanding of user needs and contributing to the overall product vision. Technologies that will make a candidate successful include (but are not limited to) TypeScript, React, Mongo and Generative AI features requiring adaptability and a willingness to learn.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, develop, and test software applications<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with other team members to ensure that the software is developed and delivered on time and within budget<\/li>\n<li>Set the standards for what good looks like; High quality software and great user experiences<\/li>\n<li>Stay up to date on the latest software development trends and technologies<\/li>\n<li>Work with a wide variety of teams across the organisation and help drive them towards an everything-as-code and a codified controls mind-set<\/li>\n<li>Support and drive cultural change, instigating critical thinking about controls and processes and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Characteristics:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Able to identify and solve problems effectively<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills<\/li>\n<li>A strong product mindset, putting the user requirements at the forefront of decision making<\/li>\n<li>Connected to latest technologies such as Generative AI, and keen to put them in practice<\/li>\n<li>Pragmatic, and a creative approach to managing risk<\/li>\n<li>A growth mindset and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Shows enthusiasm and develops trust through empathy<\/li>\n<li>An advocate of inclusion and diversity in every way<\/li>\n<li>Connected to latest technologies and keen to put them in practice<\/li>\n<li>A self-starter with the ability to work effectively in teams and remotely<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>13+ years of Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer in product teams<\/li>\n<li>Strong Experience delivering TypeScript, JavaScript code to production<\/li>\n<li>Expertise with NodeJs and React<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in an agile software development environment<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, container-based micro-services, distributed logs, and NoSQL databases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Education:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree\/University degree or equivalent experience<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
