The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable, responsive, and performant web applications. Experience or knowledge in Java backend and REST API integration is also required. This is a full-time employee position in India.<\/span>Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using Angular.<\/span>Build reusable components and libraries for future use.<\/span>Optimize UI for performance, speed, and responsiveness across browsers\/devices.<\/span>Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs.<\/span>Translate UI\/UX design wireframes into high-quality code.<\/span>Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.<\/span>Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with proper documentation.<\/span>Work closely with QA, product owners, and designers to deliver features in an Agile environment.<\/span>Must-Have Skills:<\/span>Strong Knowledge of Core Java and Advanced Java:<\/span>Proficiency in Java 8+ features like Lambdas, Streams, Functional Interfaces, Optional, etc.<\/span>Good understanding of OOPs (Object-Oriented Programming) concepts, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Collections.<\/span>Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC):<\/span>Experience with Spring Boot Microservices, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.<\/span>Knowledge of RESTful Web Services development using Spring Boot.<\/span>Database Knowledge (SQL\/NoSQL):<\/span>Proficiency in writing SQL queries, joins, and stored procedures.<\/span>Hands-on experience with RDBMS like MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.<\/span>Basic understanding of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.<\/span>Angular (Latest Version):<\/span>Strong understanding of Angular Framework, TypeScript, RxJS, Angular Material, and Angular CLI.<\/span>Ability to build responsive UI components using Angular.<\/span>RESTful APIs and Web Services:<\/span>Experience in consuming and developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.<\/span>Understanding of API documentation tools like Swagger\/OpenAPI.<\/span>Version Control Systems (Git):<\/span>Hands-on experience with GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.<\/span>Familiarity with Git commands like pull, push, merge, branch, clone, etc..<\/span>Build Tools and Deployment:<\/span>Knowledge of build tools like Maven\/Gradle.<\/span>Understanding of containerization (Docker) and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP).<\/span>Testing and Debugging:<\/span>Basic understanding of Unit Testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito for backend testing.<\/span>Knowledge of Karma and Jasmine for Angular testing.<\/span>Agile Methodologies and Collaboration Tools:<\/span>Familiarity with Agile\/Scrum methodologies.<\/span>Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Trello for task tracking and collaboration.<\/span>Problem-Solving and Logical Thinking:<\/span>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to write clean, reusable, and efficient code.<\/span>Ability to debug and resolve production issues quickly.<\/span>Location & Hours:<\/span>Can work remotely anywhere in India (most of our Portal Engineering team live in India)<\/span>Hours: 2:30-11:30pm IST (ending at 2pm ET)<\/span>Comp Structure & Benefits:<\/span>Comp structure: fixed (inclusive of PF, Gratuity, and a 25k INR medical premium) + a target annual bonus that is approximately 10% of the gross annual earnings.
