This individual will be part of a highly technical and interactive team that builds, tests and operates software for cross environment access between our mainframe systems and distributed systems using a variety of vendor products as well as custom solutions to support and enhance the mainframe environment. This individual would be responsible for coding of new systems as well as maintenance and upgrading of existing applications.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Part of the duties includes working with team members on implementation of new versions and product maintenance for the cross-platform product suite. Duties also include planning of projects and communications as related to specific projects. This individual will also be required to provide level 3 technical support for these products.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>We are looking for a highly motivated, team player with good communications skills and someone who possess a high degree of technical problem-solving ability, to focus on our Cross Platform product suite. Read on\u2026<span class=\"br\"><\/span>This individual will be required to perform weekend work and after hours work as well.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>What you\u2019ll bring to the role: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Agreeing to responsibilities for deliverables in project plans<\/li>\n<li>Understanding requirements for the system components to be developed or updated<\/li>\n<li>Creating and\/or understanding conceptual and detailed designs for the system components being developed or updated<\/li>\n<li>Coding additions or amendments to system components as directed by the project manager<\/li>\n<li>Unit testing of new or amended code<\/li>\n<li>Creating and executing test plans according to agreed project plans<\/li>\n<li>Participating in implementation of new or amended systems<\/li>\n<li>Escalation of issues as appropriate to the project manager<\/li>\n<li>Following working practices used within the team<\/li>\n<li>Providing Level 3 support &#8211; possibly after hours<\/li>\n<li>Specific duties include:<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing project documentation to understand deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Designing, coding and testing new or amended system functionality<\/li>\n<li>Creating system documentation as required<\/li>\n<li>Working with other team members to ensure the success of the project<\/li>\n<li>Providing status and progress updates to the project manager as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> What you\u2019ll do in the role: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 6+ years&#8217; relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.<\/li>\n<li>Python programming experience<\/li>\n<li>JAVA &#8211; Angular J\/S programming skills<\/li>\n<li>Mainframe knowledge &#8211; Natural\/Adabas or COBOL\/DB2<\/li>\n<li>Linux\/Unix Admin skills, with installation and configuration experience.<\/li>\n<li>Git experience with either GitHub or Bitbucket<\/li>\n<li>JIRA knowledge from a project management perspective<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Desired Requirements include: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Windows server Admin knowledge<\/li>\n<li>DB2\/UDB Database knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Sybase and PostGres database knowledge<\/li>\n<li>C and C++ Coding and debugging experience<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of AFS \/ NFS setups and loading<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
