You’ll be part of our IT team, responsible for high-volume preorder\/backorder portal, Front end development. In addition, you’ll join the core team that’s developing and promoting Front end Framework development across various sales and service applications. We’re pushing ourselves to be more nimble and efficient as we redefine the retail landscape-and you’ll play a meaningful role.<\/span>Planning, designing, developing, coding and testing complex front-end systems, making technical decisions regarding frameworks, libraries, and design patterns<\/span>Participating in the development of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing support of systems.<\/span>Conceptualizing and developing prototypes quickly in working with the product and architect.<\/span>Leading the implementation of new technologies and ensuring the team is utilising the latest best practices<\/span>Proactively identifying potential technical challenges and proposing solutions<\/span>Engaging in engineering discussions, contributing to the conversation, providing your own opinions, asking thoughtful questions for clarification, and enriching the environment.<\/span>Deploying high-performance MicroFrontEnds and Frameworks for platform products.<\/span>Building something awesome. \n In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.<\/span>What we’re looking for…<\/b><\/span>You are self-driven with experience in design and implementation of complex and distributed systems, particularly in building high-performance Front end frameworks. You have a passion for seeking engineering excellence and adopting new technologies. You are not afraid to drive for success by working with multi-functional teams.<\/span>You’ll need to have:<\/b><\/span>Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.<\/span>Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience.<\/span>Knowledge of software architecture, networking and distributed systems, design patterns, and UNIX\/Linux environments.<\/span>Next.js Expertise: In-depth Knowledge of Next.js features like routing, data fetching, pre-rendering and API routes, CSR, SSR<\/span>Proficient in JavaScript and React: Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, React concepts, and component lifecycle management.<\/span>Front-end development skills: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript libraries<\/span>Understanding of HTTP\/RESTful APIs, Microservices.<\/span>Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.<\/span>Experience with Version control systems(Git), build tools(Webpack, Gulp)<\/span>Even better if you have one or more of the following:<\/span>Experience with Java EE\/Spring Framework.<\/span>Knowledge of large-scale software architecture, networking and distributed systems, design patterns<\/span>Industry experience with Cassandra or relevant.<\/span>Exposure to AWS architecture, concepts, and tools.<\/span>Container platforms like Docker or relevant.<\/span>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.<\/span>If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every \u201ceven better\u201d qualification listed above.<\/span>Where you’ll be working In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.<\/span>Scheduled Weekly Hours 40<\/span>Equal Employment Opportunity<\/b><\/span>Verizon is an equal opportunity employer.
