We do that by offering smart software, payments, and commerce-enabling solutions across five &#8220;everyday life&#8221; verticals: Education, Health and Fitness, Boutique Wellness, Field Services and Personal Services<span class=\"br\"><\/span>In the technology team, we have more than 450 colleagues working in offices and remotely around the world, building the first global platform to integrate software, payments and Commerce Accelerating Technologies to help business succeed.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Job Description<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>You\u2019ll join Xplor Education (Australia) and our remote Engineering team comprised of engineers from both India and Australia \u2014 the team that provides the support and expertise educators need to manage their centres smoothly, improve parent engagement, and deliver the best educational experience, so that they can focus on what really matters &#8211; helping children succeed.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Our Elixir engineers create and maintain numerous products and services throughout the Xplor Education ecosystem including Office, Playground and Home Web.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Reporting into the Elixir Senior Tech Lead, you\u2019ll help us develop our product that allows Australian education services to automate administration, streamline their financials and reporting, digitise attendance and bookings, record learning observations, and communicate with parents in real-time. Some of the other responsibilities you\u2019ll have: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the tech leads to deliver features for the product and engineering roadmap and ensure projects are delivered on time, and to best practice &#038; quality guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Be a part of a team with a shared goal &#8211; disrupting a market through technology and improving the lives of administrators and families across Australia<\/li>\n<li>Independently write maintainable code that translates into product features<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the entire application lifecycle right from concept to delivery as well as post-launch support<\/li>\n<li>Be involved in design, testing, code review, and documentation<\/li>\n<li>Regular exposure to business stakeholders and executive management, as well as the authority and scope to apply expertise to many interesting technical problems<\/li>\n<li>Mentor juniors and mid-level engineers to grow their career<\/li>\n<li>Share your knowledge to your fellow seniors while learning from them as well<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>What would make me a good candidate? <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years experience in software development<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Elixir programming language, if not ideally Ruby on Rails<\/li>\n<li>Experience working on large and complex software projects<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of version control systems, ideally Git<\/li>\n<li>Full stack development and relational database experience (Postgres)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and independent problem-solving intuitions<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of TDD\/BDD<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of the full software development lifecycle<\/li>\n<li>Ideally, you have experience with front-end frameworks like React .
