The Account Manager will be responsible for delivering accelerated revenue growth by retaining and expanding the existing customer base, mitigating attrition risks, and penetrating untapped market segments. This role will focus on generating new sales revenue across Elsevier\u2019s complete product portfolio and leading strategic sales projects to build large academic and government consortiums in collaboration with cross-functional teams.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Responsibilities<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Revenue Growth &#038; Retention:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Drive accelerated revenue growth by retaining and expanding the existing customer base.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets for Elsevier\u2019s product portfolio.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Identify and mitigate attrition risks through proactive customer engagement and relationship management.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Market Penetration:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Identify and penetrate untapped market segments to generate new sales revenue.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Conduct market research to uncover opportunities for Elsevier\u2019s products and solutions.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Strategic Sales Projects:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Lead initiatives to build and manage large academic and government consortiums.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to deliver tailored solutions.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Customer Relationship Management:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in academic institutions, government bodies, and other organizations.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Sales Strategy &#038; Execution:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Develop account plans and sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Collaboration &#038; Leadership:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Work closely with internal teams to align sales strategies with company goals.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects to drive business growth and innovation.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Requirements<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Sales &#038; Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B sales or account management, preferably in publishing, education, or technology sectors.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving customer retention.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Experience working with academic institutions, government bodies, or consortiums is a plus.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and stakeholders.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Strong understanding of the Indian academic and government market landscape.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Work in a way that works for you<span class=\"br\"><\/span>We promote a healthy work\/life balance across the organization.
