**Lead Engineer – Mobile (iOS)**<\/span>**What the role is all about:**<\/b><\/span>We\u2019re seeking a Lead Engineer \u2013 Mobile (5-9 years’ experience), who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of REA\u2019s cutting-edge products. You will be working collaboratively with our product and technical team members to help deliver and support REA’s real estate App products (iOS).<\/span>This role sits in the Mobile Chapter, within the Advertising portfolio. The Mobile Chapter builds Native Mobile experiences across Residential, Commercial, Developer, Media and Agency marketplaces. When you join the Mobile Chapter, you join a cross-functional group of amazing people. We work closely with delivery leads, product managers, designers, and developers from feature teams, and other Mobile Developers from Consumer and Ignite teams. You will work on realestate.com.au, realcommercial.com.au and Ignite apps across iOS, Android, and BFF.<\/span>This is your chance to work on impactful projects that drive customer satisfaction and company growth. You\u2019ll work with cutting-edge technologies alongside talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a dynamic and collaborative environment.<\/span>**While no two days are likely to be the same, your typical responsibilities will include:**<\/span>+ Working with our mobile apps, including realestate.com.au and Ignite, using Swift and SwiftUI for iOS development.<\/span>+ Designing and implementing iOS UI features using SwiftUI and UIKit to ensure seamless integration with our native experiences.<\/span>+ Contributing to the overall design of technical solutions and the direction of the product.<\/span>+ Assisting in delivery planning and technical design by evaluating options, considering effort, and assessing quality.<\/span>+ Collaborating with stakeholders, including engineering managers, delivery leads, business analysts, product managers, and other developers, to maintain clear and effective communication and to design high-quality solutions that effectively address user needs.<\/span>+ Partnering with multidisciplinary teams across Cyber City and Australian teams to understand business priorities, communicate technical choices, organize tasks, report progress, and share ideas effectively.<\/span>+ Embracing best practices for clean and reusable code, including unit testing, code reviews, pair programming, and the exploration and adoption of new technologies.<\/span>+ Supporting the engineering manager in maintaining high code quality and promoting effective teamwork.<\/span>**Who we’re looking for:**<\/b><\/span>+ 5-9 years of experience in iOS development, with proficiency in Swift and a solid foundation in object-oriented programming principles.<\/span>+ Strong understanding and experience with SwiftUI and the reactive programming paradigm.<\/span>+ Willingness to work on both iOS and Android apps using Swift and Kotlin.<\/span>+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Continuous Delivery practices.<\/span>+ Solid knowledge of unit testing, CI\/CD approaches, and relevant tools.<\/span>+ A proactive attitude toward tackling challenges, developing solutions, and learning from experiences.<\/span>+ Demonstrated initiative, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and manage time efficiently.<\/span>+ Experience in coaching and mentoring less experienced members of the Cyber City mobile team.<\/span>**What we offer:**<\/b><\/span>+ A hybrid and flexible approach to working.<\/span>+ Transport options to help you get to and from work, including home pick-up and drop-off.<\/span>+ Meals provided on site in our office.<\/span>+ Flexible leave options including parental leave, family care leave and celebration leave.<\/span>+ Insurances for you and your immediate family members.<\/span>+ Programs to support mental, emotional, financial and physical health & wellbeing.<\/span>+ Continuous learning and development opportunities to further your technical expertise.<\/span>**The values we live by:**<\/span>Our values are at the core of how we operate, treat each other, and make decisions.
