You will work closely with other talented engineers, architects and senior stakeholders to architect, implement, and deliver on our roadmap.<\/span>Responsibilities and Accountabilities<\/b><\/span>You have a developer first mentality with a deep empathy for the challenges of modern software development.<\/span>You have a demonstrated track record of full lifecycle product development from inception to happy customers.<\/span>You are comfortable presenting your ideas to all levels of management including technical and non-technical audiences.<\/span>Be able to explain not only the \u201chows\u201d but also the \u201cwhys\u201d in the technical areas that you are responsible for<\/span>You will build our cloud native mindset and drive our architecture towards it.<\/span>You will build and maintain observability and reliability of our services.<\/span>You will participate in a 24\/7, follow the sun on call model for production incident management including outside of standard business hours as rostered<\/span>You will drive and implement improvements in developer tools and automation.<\/span>You will have a willingness to learn from your colleagues and have a natural curiosity for the technical topics around you.<\/span>You will collaborate across the enterprise to drive consensus and understanding.<\/span>Qualifications and Experience<\/b><\/span>BS\/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology or equivalent experience.<\/span>3+ years of professional software development experience (including professional software engineering internships & accredited college coursework, or equivalent experience)<\/span>1+ years of experience with public cloud (AWS) in building services using cloud native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, etc.<\/span>Experience delivering codebases with at-least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, Typescript, React etc.<\/span>Strongly held test practices regardless of language or tools.<\/span>Strong understanding of foundational concepts in computer science such as data structures, algorithms (search, sort, graphs, etc.).<\/span>Record of delivering documentation alongside code using frameworks such as Markdown.<\/span>Knowledge of source control, branching & release strategies, pull requests and automated quality gates using tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.<\/span>An eagerness to learn CI\/CD automation, including deploying applications and infrastructure.<\/span>Demonstrate familiarity experience in rethinking\/reimagining existing product\/platform architectures as they migrate to the cloud. This includes decomposing monoliths, scalability, resiliency, observability, and security<\/span>Ability to articulate and implement a vision while inspiring our large developer community to join forces.<\/span>Preferred Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>Production experience building and operating Kubernetes clusters in public cloud is a plus.<\/span>Experience monitoring infrastructure with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, etc.<\/span>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, experience with on-call rotation and incident management.<\/span>Joining us is more than saying \u201cyes\u201d to making the world a healthier place.
