This is the team that brings our zero-defect policy to life. We develop innovative ways to break the product in-house so that it holds up against the most compelling customer load. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 – 3 days per week. However certain roles and\/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.<\/span>Your Role<\/b><\/span>You’ll be working with a team of extremely talented engineers across a spectrum of geographies and experience. The most successful candidate for this role will be someone who can:<\/span>Conduct requirements analysis and design reviews of new features by thoroughly understanding the PRD, ERD and FDD.<\/span>Develop detailed test plan and test cases for the new feature.<\/span>Developing automation libraries and test cases within defined test automation framework.<\/span>Executing automated and manual tests during product testing phases to find all bugs in your assigned feature area(s).<\/span>Triaging the regression execution failures in your assigned feature area(s) within defined timelines.<\/span>Working closely with the Development team(s) to analyse and find the root cause of failures.<\/span>Filing defects with detailed debugging report and tracking them to closure, including verification of the fixes in your assigned feature area(s).<\/span>What You Will Bring<\/b><\/span>Experience in test plan design and test case development for complex software projects.<\/span>Experience in developing automated tests in Python programming language.<\/span>Experience in working with and testing REST APIs and Associated client code.<\/span>Experience with basic networking concepts IPv4\/IPv6, DNS, DHCP and protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP etc<\/span>Experience in testing a “systems” product (file systems, storage systems, databases, operating systems, hypervisors, or networking).<\/span>Excellent problem-solving skills: Ability to innovate and create solutions.<\/span>Experience in working with source control management systems such as git, gerrit, github etc.<\/span>Experience in working with ticketing tools like Jira (or equivalent).<\/span>BS or MS in Computer Science or related streams.<\/span>Strong understanding of Linux Operating Systems.<\/span>Minimum of 3+ years of Software SDET experience.<\/span>Desirable Requirement:<\/span>Experience in testing virtualisation platforms preferably in QEMU and Libvirt (KVM).<\/span>Experience in testing clustered\/distributed systems.<\/span>Experience using and administering projects in a continuous integration framework such as Jenkins\/CircleCI.<\/span>QA Automation Framework development experience is a plus.<\/span>Ability to leverage open-source tools for test development and execution.<\/span>Work Arrangement<\/span>Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration.
