Job Description<\/b><\/span>Designation – SDET<\/span>Experience – 4-7 yrs<\/span>Location – Bangalore<\/span>Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Quality Engineering Team.<\/span>In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of automated tests. You will ensure effective and efficient design, implementation, and maintenance of both manual and automated testing solutions for legacy products and new development.<\/span>You will leverage software engineering best practices to provide information, feedback, and expertise about software quality and development processes to deliver defect-free applications for our customers. As a member of the SDET Team, you will ensure our test automation framework and platform is highly scalable and performant with technical design for future innovation without complete refactoring.<\/span>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 Exhibit strong hands-on knowledge in developing automated testing using modern software development and testing tools<\/span>\u00b7 Ensure automated test design adheres to the overall company architecture and quality assurance principles<\/span>\u00b7 Collaborate with team members across product, architecture, development, DevOps, and testing teams in designing automated testing approaches<\/span>\u00b7 Promote and support the implementation of CI\/CT\/CD pipeline<\/span>\u00b7 Exercise fundamental good software engineering practice when developing automated tests, such as design\/code reviews<\/span>\u00b7 Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks for UI, Microservices & API<\/span>\u00b7 Able to provide in-depth analysis to resolve technical issues, anticipate risks and ensure timely management escalation<\/span>\u00b7 Provide automated test solutions to deliver for both functional and non-functional software quality<\/span>\u00b7 Work with stakeholders to plan, estimate & implement test automation strategies<\/span>\u00b7 Ensure compliance to automation framework, standards & best practices<\/span>\u00b7 Facilitate automated, on-demand test automation metrics<\/span>\u00b7 Maintain and update technical documentation relating to test architecture, design steps, integration processes, or procedures.<\/span>\u00b7 Participate in technical design meetings to ensure clear direction in areas of responsibilities<\/span>\u00b7 Maintain test automation and defect tech debts in a timely manner<\/span>\u00b7 Seek stakeholder feedback via test automation demos<\/span>\u00b7 Exhibits behaviors which exemplify Applied Systems\u2019 Core Values<\/span>QUALIFICATIONS<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 Bachelor\u2019s Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, technology, or equivalent work experience<\/span>\u00b7 2+ years of hands-on experience in code development procedures, work processes, and application systems working as a Software Engineer in Test\/Automation Engineer\/Quality Engineer in a microservices environment with the following technology:<\/span>o Experience with object-oriented programming such as C#, Java, Ruby, Python, or C++ as well as JavaScript, Typescript<\/span>o Experience with SQL Server or other databases<\/span>\u00b7 Working knowledge with automated or manual testing, with UI and\/or API layers, such as SOAP, REST\/RESTful, Apigee, web, mobile, and desktop application testing<\/span>\u00b7 In-depth knowledge of common automated testing tools, such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, xUnit, NUnit, etc<\/span>\u00b7 Working knowledge of microservices, cloud computing, and related technologies, such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker<\/span>\u00b7 Ability to understand and construct modern test strategies and quality gating policies within CI\/CT\/CD pipelines<\/span>\u00b7 Strong work ethic and excellent problem-solving skills; strong logical reasoning and solution-oriented<\/span>\u00b7 Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment is a must<\/span>\u00b7 Positive and adaptable with multi-tasking in a continually changing environment<\/span>\u00b7 Experience with Agile scrum and Kanban methodol<\/p>\n
