About the Team\/Role<\/span>At WEX, we simplify the business of running a business. We are looking for passionate technologists, collaborators, and problem solvers to join our Benefits Technology team as we build the next generation of employer benefits solutions and services.<\/span>As a Software Engineer on the WEX Benefits Technology team, you will work in a team that partners closely with Product Managers and customers to learn about the challenges employers face while navigating the competitive employee benefits landscape. You will design solutions that solve problems in ways our customers love and work for our business. You will build the highest quality software in the latest technologies and test driven development practices.<\/span>How you\u2019ll make an impact<\/span>Collaborate with stakeholders to learn about our customers biggest challenges.<\/span>Measure, inspect, and drive decisions using data.<\/span>Design, test, code, and instrument new solutions.<\/span>Strengthen and drive our engineering process with TDD and BDD, Microservice and Vertical Slice Architectures.<\/span>Support live applications, promote proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and continuous improvement.<\/span>Analyze existing systems and processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvements.<\/span>Mentor and learn from your peers, foster continuous learning within your team and organization.<\/span>Lead initiatives for your team by using your wide-ranging experience and deep technical knowledge to make decisions on method and approach to solving issues.<\/span>Hold your team accountable for delivering quality results using defined OKRs.<\/span>Interact with Senior Managers to discuss plans, results, and advise on complex matters.<\/span>Experience you\u2019ll bring<\/span>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field;
\n OR demonstrable equivalent experience.<\/span>At least 10 years of experience in software engineering.<\/span>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills<\/span>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.<\/span>Passionate about keeping up with modern technologies and design.<\/span>Strong proficiency in Angular and\/or React<\/span>Experience building and consuming REST APIs<\/span>Proven track record of writing comprehensive unit tests and test suites<\/span>Strong understanding of software security principles and OWASP guidelines<\/span>Proficiency with Git version control and CI\/CD pipelines<\/span>Experience with Agile development methodologies<\/span>Excellent communication and collaboration abilities<\/span>Track record of delivering complex projects on schedule<\/span>Experience in writing performant stored procedures and functions<\/span>Technology Must-Haves:<\/span>C#, Python (if applicable)<\/span>Docker<\/span>Modern RDBMS (i.e. MS SQL, Postgres, MySQL)<\/span>ASP.NET RESTful API design<\/span>Kafka \/ event-driven design<\/span>Modern Web UI Frameworks and Libraries (i.e. Angular, React)<\/span>Kubernetes<\/span>NoSQL databases<\/span>Experience in developing Cloud-Native applications and services<\/span>Technology Nice-To-Have or Dedicate to Learning Quickly:<\/span>Helm\/ArgoCD<\/span>Terraform<\/span>GitHub Actions<\/span>GraphQL<\/span>Azure<\/span>Generative AI and Agentic AI models and frameworks<\/p>\n
