Compensation is invoiced and does not constitute salaried employment.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The Technical Director &#8211; Scenography &#038; Production transforms ambitious creative concepts into tangible technical realities. They play a key role in the feasibility, design, and execution of scenic environments and scenographic integrations, ensuring the rigorous and seamless implementation of artistic intentions.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Working closely with the creative leadership, fabrication workshops, and technical service providers, they coordinate fabrication, oversee production, and manage on-site installation. This role requires strong technical expertise, a sharp sense of collaboration, and great adaptability in the face of real-world challenges.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Key Responsibilities<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Mastery of the Craft <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Translate creative concepts into clear and feasible technical drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee material selection, fabrication methods, and integration systems.<\/li>\n<li>Produce or validate drawings for fabrication, transport, and installation.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor fabrication progress, ensuring timelines and budgets are respected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Creative Quality <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work directly with art directors to uphold the original vision.<\/li>\n<li>Balance aesthetics, functionality, and technical constraints.<\/li>\n<li>Propose innovative solutions without compromising the concept&#8217;s integrity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Technical Excellence <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Integrate sound, lighting, and video systems into scenic elements.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise tests, prototyping, and necessary adjustments before installation.<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in technical meetings with all trades.<\/li>\n<li>Be present on-site during installations to ensure compliance and final quality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Communication<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain constant communication with design, production, and fabrication teams.<\/li>\n<li>Clearly explain technical constraints and justify execution choices.<\/li>\n<li>Document the design and fabrication process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Learn, Share, Evolve <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Share technical insights and lessons learned with the team.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to structuring and evolving internal standards.<\/li>\n<li>Help foster a culture of technical rigor, applied creativity, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in architecture, scenic design, technical design, or engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience in set fabrication or technical integration in a creative environment (e.g., live events, retail, museums, exhibitions).<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in software: AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Rhino, SketchUp.<\/li>\n<li>Solid knowledge of technical systems: lighting, audio, video.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to produce and interpret complex technical drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and dynamic field environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Additional Information<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>This position is offered on a freelance basis only.
