This role will be instrumental in the development of a next-generation ruggedized hardware system that plays a vital role in the U.S. military\u2019s communications suite.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the design and development of Point of Load power supplies for ruggedized defense hardware.<\/li>\n<li>Design and analyze single and multi-phase buck converters for medium to high current applications (3A to 50A).<\/li>\n<li>Translate load device datasheets into detailed electrical requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Perform HyperLynx Power Simulations including DC Drop and AC Lump Analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure robust, reliable, and efficient power delivery solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Support system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of power supply designs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Essential Skills<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>8+ years of hands-on experience in power supply design, with a strong focus on Point of Load (PoL) architectures.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience with single and multi-phase buck power supplies.<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in medium to high current designs (3A to 50A).<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in HyperLynx Power Simulation tools for DC and AC analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Eligibility for a Secret Clearance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Additional Skills &#038; Qualifications <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong understanding of component selection, thermal management, and PCB layout best practices for power electronics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Work Environment<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and onsite work in Ashburn on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Our engineers are working on cutting-edge technology, developing ruggedized single board computers with super high-speed processing capabilities. These high-speed computers support high-reliability missions and are utilized in aircraft, tanks, submarines, torpedoes, and missiles. The contract duration is 9 months with potential for conversion to hire, including standard benefits, 3-4 weeks PTO, and 10 standard holidays. A remote position may be considered but would involve approximately 6 months of work.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Pay and Benefits<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>The pay range for this position is $70.00 &#8211; $90.00\/hr.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job<br \/>\n       classification and length of employment.
