You should be thrilled by emerging technologies with our software products for future Mainframe and Cloud-based markets.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Your role and responsibilities<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>The IBM Z Hyper Protect Servers team is seeking an experienced Backend Developer<span class=\"br\"><\/span>As a Backend developer, you will be part of a highly focused, self-managed team that designs, develops and tests secure solutions created for Z Systems workloads and applications.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Responsible for all aspects of management, improvement, and support of the microservice platform&#8217;s Linux based infrastructure. Provide feedback to architects regarding any issues that present themselves. Manage projects with various priority levels and timelines from start to finish.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Act as escalation point for internal support departments in resolving a wide variety of customer facing issues regarding environment deployment, service issues, and technical questions. Consistently meet deadlines for complex issues and new projects involving multiple teams.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Demonstrate best practices in all aspects of administration. Leverage various languages to build features based on an architectural design. Develop and maintain accurate documentation for internal procedures and services.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Continuously stay abreast of new developments in supported operating systems to ensure consistent compatibility with established infrastructure. Must collaborate with other departments to resolve complex issues and be detail oriented.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Ability to automate solutions to repetitive problems\/tasks.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Required education<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Preferred education<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Master&#8217;s Degree<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Required technical and professional expertise<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Upto 8 Years of working experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu\/RHEL) in a production environment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong background in Software development with in-depth knowledge of Python, Golang ,designing REST API and working knowledge of distributed services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong development skills in Openstack and its components.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge on Core Linux Development skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Expert level skill in Type1\/Type2 hypervisors, OS Virtualization , Process and resource Management in Operating system, network segmentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Good to have, C\/C++ programming skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong skills in github, shell(ksh\/bash), containers and orchestration, system monitoring, Jenkins, CI\/CD pipeline integration and end-to-end tests, playbooks and process automation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge with deployment on OpenShift.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding of container technologies like docker\/podman<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Orchestration tools &#8211; Kubernetes, openshift, Digital Certificate Knowledge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A Self-starter Individual with excellent problem-solving skills, able to work independently and as a part of the team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Broad and proven know-how in database technology and practical experience in software development and agile methodology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Good Community management skills (working with open source contributors, client outreach and other public relations)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong Technical leadership skills (achieving excellence through code quality and practices, architecture decisions, innovation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong English communication skills both written and verbal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Preferred technical and professional experience<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge with deployment on OpenShift.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Knolwdge on Cloud Technology including Network, Storage and Compute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Java (JCP Certified), J2EE<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in zLinux operating systems and virtualization\/hypervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> ABOUT BUSINESS UNIT<span class=\"br\"><\/span>IBM Systems helps IT leaders think differently about their infrastructure.
