{"id":83879,"date":"2025-06-13T00:59:40","date_gmt":"2025-06-13T00:59:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/java-react-developer-assistant-manaager\/"},"modified":"2025-06-13T00:59:40","modified_gmt":"2025-06-13T00:59:40","slug":"java-react-developer-assistant-manaager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/java-react-developer-assistant-manaager\/","title":{"rendered":"Java &#038; React Developer &#8211; Assistant Manaager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Job Description<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Who we are looking for<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>State Street is looking for a Application Software Development Engineer with around 5-10 years of experience who can analyze, design, develop and maintain web-based software in a client\/server environment using Java-J2EE, React JS\/Angular, Servlet, JDBC, Spring Framework and REST Web Services, Spring Boot, Oracle SQL Developer and GITHub.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>This is a hands-on senior software engineer position within the State Street Alpha\u2019s technology solution architecture team, to design and build State Street Alpha cloud based, an open architecture platform which provides a high degree of resiliency and flexibility , help to reduce operational unit costs while satisfying our clients, risk and regulatory requirements<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>What you will be responsible for<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>As a Java &#038; React Developer \u2013 Senior Associate, you will possess: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyse and develop solutions to the client needs as a developer within a team following the agile development approach.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains and supports existing software applications.<\/li>\n<li>Consult with technical team, SQA and business analysts on aspects of functional specifications<\/li>\n<li>Manage your efforts within the agile team and outside agile to ensure tasks are completed successfully by deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Design &#038; Develop reusable components for application UI and backend code, write database queries and stored procedures while ensuring proper performance tuning.<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of the new requirement with minimal guidance and complete coding and unit testing independently.<\/li>\n<li>Anticipate critical issues and risks; take responsibility for resolution across the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Provide assessments of task duration, complexity, progress, and risk to team leads.<\/li>\n<li>Closely work with Production Support and Client Support.<\/li>\n<li>Should have excellent programming, solid analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Solid communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to learn new technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares systems documentation as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What we value<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>These skills will help you succeed in this role with MUST and NICE to have skills <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Expert-level knowledge and experience with core java version 8+ and JEE technologies such as concurrency, JDBC, React JS, Oracle SQL\/PLSQL,Spring Framework, Springboot, GIT, MQ\/Kafka.<\/li>\n<li>Good familiarity with LINUX OS environment.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge and experience with data modeling and database development (SQL, PL\/SQL).<\/li>\n<li>Nice to have: Cloud based development, AZURE\/AWS Cloud Knowledge,Tomcat Server, Veracode and Blackduck issue mitigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Education &#038; Preferred Qualifications <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>5-10 years of experience in development using Java\/J2EE etc.<\/li>\n<li>Preference to have some knowledge of Financial Market domain (Derivatives, Equities, Fixed Income Mathematics, various asset classes and their characteristics, particularly with respect to market data, settlement and clearing).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Why this role is important to us<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Our technology function, Global Technology Services (GTS), is vital to State Street and is the key enabler for our business to deliver data and insights to our clients.
